Salvete amici mei,
Zack, another week has passed, and I can provide another update! Time is flying by, and with so much going on, we must be very careful not to let all the topics surrounding us distract us too much from the development of the game. At times, it feels like a gamble. On the one hand, we are in the exciting position of talking to very large potential partners about Lost Legions, Tarock Interactive, and the world; on the other hand, we maintain our 100% autonomy and must carefully consider which efforts lead in the right direction. This is what is called “investment.” You have to risk something if it is to pay off in the end. In this sense, we try to bend the cosmos around us so that, with our modest means and strict self-imposed guidelines, we achieve the maximum effect. Recently, we secured the collaboration of experienced external talents. Especially in the audio field, we are proud to be working with the award-winning local champions of Audio Creatures. In the areas of game design and narrative design, we have secured top-notch support with Allan Cudicio and Matthias Kempke. Soon, we will also be able to draw on a diligent group of juniors. Through my teaching at the School for Games S4G, I was able to convince a handpicked selection of top young talents to complete their mandatory internship with us. I am very happy about this fresh blood and know from experience that working with interns brings a real summer boost. All of this is happening in the context of the upcoming alpha milestone planned for August. At Gamescom, we will present this version in the business area at our own booth in the pavilion of medianet Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. to selected guests.

In addition to all the organizing, game development is, of course, still ongoing, and at this stage, it is primarily about establishing the structure of the game. With an eye on Gamescom, we are also preparing a near-final quality segment to further convince.
Raid & Conquest is progressing well and can soon be included in our internal test cycle. It is intended to be one of our unique selling points and is therefore super important.
We listen to your feedback and are working to gradually replace the weakest animations.
The main quest is structurally prepared. You can basically play through the main story in a rudimentary way.
Stealth has been added, which will be important for hunting as well as for ambushes.
We are working on the atmospheric staging of special places and the different biomes.
We still have a lot planned and there is more to do, but every day and every week Lost Legions continues to evolve. It is a very exciting and educational journey. I am grateful to be in this situation and to be able to shape this path. Our focus is now on August, a time when a lot will be decided for us.
I am happy if you accompany and continue to support us on this journey!
Best regards, Jens
