The End of the 1st Ascend to ZERO Open Playtest
We started the playtest on December 10 and ended it on December 27 11:59 PM PST. In this short time, not only have so many of you jumped into the world of Ascend to ZERO (a lot of you for the first time), our community has flooded into the Discord, sharing with us a ton of feedback, some builds and chips that they like. We cannot thank you enough for being a part of this playtest and our community events!
With the end of the playtest, we wanted to share some cool results that we saw during the course of the whole thing!
Most Used Tech Chips
With a lot of new tech chips added to the playtest version of the game, we saw that the Skill Amplifier chip took the top spot, followed by Time Guard, Adrenaline, and Accelerated Motions respectively. There seemed to be a penchant for speedy clears, which makes sense given Ascend to ZERO is about zipping through time when frozen.
Most Defeated Elite/Boss
Terrae Motus, the big bad boss of Stage 1, was defeated the most times. More than Peacekeeper, more than the Minotaur, and more than the Mandragora - a lot of you have been skipping past just to take out the Stage 1 boss, huh?
Highest Level Reached
Over the course of the Quantum Community Reports, we have been sharing the highest level reached. The record stands at level 492,770 with Golden Gunslinger! There have been some close calls for the title, but no one was able to surpass it! Just what kind of build did you have to get that high? Our Discord had some ideas!
Thank you again for joining us during our first open playtest!
Demo Re-Release
Prior to the playtest, some of you may recall that Ascend to ZERO had a demo. That demo is going to come back, but come back in a different form on January 5 00:00 PST.
Demo Re-Release Schedule:
January 5 17:00 GMT+9
January 5 00:00 PST
The playtest gave us a lot of data in a variety of categories. We realized that we have a lot of work to do in terms of balance of both avatars and gadgets. With balance and tuning in mind, the re-released demo will only feature Chrono Child, Blossom Blade, and Golden Gunslinger while the remaining 3 avatars and certain gadgets need extensive development by our team.
What does this mean for my previous demo save file?
You will be able to use your previous save file, but you will find that certain avatars and gadgets will not be able to be selected.
Which avatars and gadgets will I be allowed to use?
Avatar List:
- Chrono Child
- Blossom Blade
- Golden Gunslinger
Gadget List:
- Weakness Tracker
- Recall Blade
- Space Core
- High-Power Railgun
- Chrono Anchor
- Void Compressor
What's Next?
After the demo re-releases on January 5, we are going to be hard at work tuning and balancing the game. As always, we want to hear your feedback and suggestions as the team continues to try to make the best Ascend to ZERO experience possible.
