For new and returning Ascenders, this playtest is the latest version of Ascend to ZERO, shaped by an ambitious development team alongside the feedback/suggestions of our community. We believe this to be the culmination of our efforts -- we think you guys are really going to enjoy what's in this playtest!
- Manipulate Time: Time is running out, but luckily you can manipulate and bend time to your will! Every second is another weapon in your arsenal - learn to wield it better with every passing run!
- Multiple avatars to play as with unique abilities: By making progress in your runs, you can unlock multiple avatars! With multiple avatars to choose from that each have their own unique abilities and skills, you can choose the character that best suits your style!
- Make Custom Builds Tailored to your playstyle: Want to be a glass-cannon? No problem, make a build that decimates anyone who stands in front of you. Speed is the name of your game? Lock and load as you zip around your enemies while maintaining a safe distance! Every choices you make can drastically alter each run!
- Obtain special chips to get even stronger: Defeat elites and bosses to get rare special chips that can enhance your weapons, give new weapons, tremendously increase your stats, and so much more! Many new chips have been added to make sure each run is a unique experience. Special chips can remove the limits to your potential as you race to save the world!
- Mow down your foes as you race through the stages: With 2 full stages ready for you to enjoy, exert your control of time to take down a wide variety of foes!
- All NEW in-game art: If you haven't noticed already, Ascend to ZERO got a bit of a makeover! Each character and avatar has an updated look, so we hope Ascenders enjoy mowing down enemies with style!
- NEW content!: New systems, weapons, gadgets, and more that has never been seen in previous demos! This is your chance to not only play with new content, but to give the development team feedback to help shape the future of Ascend to ZERO!
◼ Aside from the awesome new version of the game, what else can we look forward to?
We believe our community is integral to the success of Ascend to ZERO, so our team has prepared a couple of events where we can show our appreciation to the community. Each of these events can earn you chances of winning a free Ascend to ZERO LAUNCH STEAM KEY (when it launches).
- Giveaway Event: Jump into the Gleam event page, follow through with a few actions, and earn tickets to increase your chance at winning an Ascend to ZERO launch Steam key (at launch)! Gleam Secret Code #1 = A2ZPLAYTESTBEGINS
- Bug Hunt Event: Want to increase your chances? Play the playtest version of the game and have fun! In doing so, if you find any bugs or typos and such, head over to the Discord (which is one of the actions you can do to get tickets for the giveaway event), and let us know in the special "event_playtest_feedback" channel!
For more information about the events, please check out the event page here!
◼ Please bear in mind
While it is still a work-in-progress, we believe that the playtest version of the game is the latest culmination of our development progress and player feedback. For our returning Ascenders who have played other versions of Ascend to ZERO:
- Though you won't be able to use your demo save data in the playtest, your demo save file is safe, so no worries! You do not need to uninstall or delete anything.
- The demo will go back up at some point after the playtest has finished.
- The playtest save data is specific to the playtest build and therefore will not be able to be carried over to the demo and full version of the game.
Stay tuned, HAVE FUN, and wishlist if you haven’t already!
