ONE MORE MONTH. ONE MORE RUN THROUGH TOWN.
There are still a few things we want to tighten up before we put the full version of Odd Town into your strange little hands, so we’ve decided to move the release to October.
Yeah. We know.
But we’d rather take a few extra weeks and do it right than rush the last bit just to squeeze it into September. And since patience has never really been our thing..
We've just dropped an updated demo!
This one is based on the current full-game build, with an updated layout and a new shakedown mechanic.
Watch the new shakedowns in action!
There’s also a new street available to explore, along with a brand-new tool shop - because sooner or later, every respectable citizen needs access to equipment that can be used for completely legitimate purposes.
The town itself has also gotten a little richer, with more detail across the environment and a fresh batch of textures making their way into the streets.
And yes, you can finally save your game.
Just buy a cigarette from one of the stands, light it up, enjoy a quiet moment, and really let it sink in.
You’ll remember it so well that you can always come back to it later.
Just don’t overdo it. The more you smoke, the more health you lose.
Peace of mind or actual health. Your call.
As for the shakedowns, if someone happens to see something they really shouldn’t have, a little persuasion might convince them not to call the police - and if you shake them down a bit harder, they might even be convinced that their money would be much safer in your pocket.
Will everyone hand over their savings without a fight?
No.
Should that stop you from trying?
Absolutely not.
Just remember that some people take being robbed surprisingly personally.
The updated Odd Town demo is available now on Steam!
Keep an eye out - we’ll have more news for you on September 17th.
Let us know how it lands, don’t forget to join our Discord and hit that Wishlist button if you haven’t already!
Now go make some (probably not-so-)easy bucks!
