Hi Structures,
Today I bring bad news to the community: Building Relationships has been delayed to Q1 2026. It was a tough decision, but I wanted to give more time for the game to breathe -- to polish on the narrative and ensure that the game feels smooth.
Building Relationships delayed
I want to tell a meaningful story through this game, but right now, everything feels rushed. I'm thankful for the reception on this game so far, grateful for all the opportunities that the community has enabled for me.
But looking at the game as a whole, it just needs a lil bit more time.
This will also give the team time to work through bugs, optimization, and accessibility features to ensure that we launch with the best version of Building Relationships. Rest assured, that the end is in sight: the story arc has been set, the plot determined -- I just need to give it a bit more polish.
So I humbly ask the community to remain patient, as this game continues to be my #1 priority.
Thank you so much for your understanding :)
Now, onto other news:
A cute lil sneak peek!
We're making a lot of good progress with the game, but as always I don't want to spoil any of it yet... so here's something nice and cute:
A hearth-to-hearth between buildings!
Upcoming Events
I'll also be a bit busy with some upcoming events!
Melbourne International Games Week
I'll be in Melbourne / Naarm for Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW) to show the game and give a bunch of talks
GCAP Melbourne
It'll be similar to the talk I gave at GDC and GDoCExpo this year!
Freeplay: Parallels
I'll be dissecting one of the dating minigames in the game, breaking down how it came together! I think it'll be uploaded on YouTube at some point.
Thailand Game Show + Gamescom Asia
And finally, some events in my hometown (Bangkok)!
I'm hosting a panel titled "New to the Game: Self-Publishing" bringing various devs on stage to unveil industry knowledge around Self-Publishing + applicable tips for Southeast Asian devs!
Also, the game will be showcased alongside a bunch of cool Thai games in the Thailand Pavilion.
That's all for now!
Extremely grateful for everyone who's been following along the development process. The end is in sight, I'm really happy with how far the game's come, and I'm incredibly excited for where it'll land :)
