You may or may not know that here in the United Kingdom the news agencies are going crazy over the general election and the new royal baby. We're not going to comment on these events, we'll stay focused like lasers and tell you what's happening in the world of GameGuru. Thanks to your votes this software baby goes from strength to strength! Late last week we launched V1.00.028 which was received well by the community. Today we're sending out V1.00.029, fixing a small editor issue for some users.
The team are developing some new areas of GameGuru including the exciting new Character Creator and an interactive tutorial to help new users get started with the software. We'll also be adding in third person camera controls which will expand the possibilities of GameGuru significantly.
Competitions
We have all the submissions for the two competitions we've been running and we'll start the judging this week.
Thanks to everyone who entered, we're excited to see what you created!
GameGuru Store News
Sound is a big consideration when you develop a game and the store has lots of sound effects and music tracks ready for you to slot straight into your creations.
Mark Sheeky has released a range of sound packs that we would highly recommend.
You can view all the audio available on the store right here.
A popular pack is this forest pack by Lafette.

Gallery
Here are some recent images from the GameGuru Gallery. The first is an image uploaded by artist Lafette, it shows an industrial scene created out of objects he sells on the store.
This island image is well worth mentioning and shows a good use of store media and a pleasant edited terrain.
Do you have a great image you'd like to share with the community? If so please upload it here.
Signing off
That's all for this week, we'll announce the winners of the competition in next week's news.
