Hey, Operators!
As the launch of Operation Athena approaches, we're thrilled to give you an in-depth look at the enemy AI behaviors you’ll encounter. Our AI is designed to be dynamic and adaptive, ensuring no two battles play out the same way.
Operation Athena - Advanced Enemy AI Tactics
Our enemies adapt their tactics based on your actions, challenging you to stay sharp and plan ahead. Here’s a closer look at their combat strategies:
AI Tactical Communication & Coordination
Verbal Callouts: Enemies communicate with each other, using phrases like "Flanking left!" or "Cover me!" These callouts provide hints about their next moves—so listen carefully to stay one step ahead.
Suppressive Fire & Maneuvering: When engaged, enemies use suppressive fire to pin your team, allowing others to reposition or flank. This forces players to think tactically and use cover effectively.
Tactical Retreats: If overwhelmed, enemies will fall back to regroup, drawing players into traps or ambushes.
Adaptive Combat Strategies
Enemies respond to the environment and your actions in real time:
Cover Usage: AI units dynamically use cover, moving strategically to gain better sight lines and avoid being exposed.
Flanking: Enemies will attempt to outmaneuver players by flanking their position, using their surroundings and any available cover to gain a tactical advantage.
Parkour Movement: If necessary, enemies can duck, climb, or vault over obstacles to reposition themselves or reach a better vantage point. This adds a layer of mobility, allowing AI to be unpredictable and harder to predict.
These behaviors ensure every encounter is intense, requiring teamwork and quick thinking to overcome the challenges ahead. We’ve put a lot of effort into making enemy AI feel as unpredictable and relentless as possible.
