Hello everyone!
After more than a month of development, the Playtest V0.6 Update for WindStopStrategy is finally ready to be officially unveiled! Let us walk you through the new content of this V0.6 update~
First up, we are excited to showcase the highlight of this update: the Module Editor, one of the core features of WindStopStrategy, which will make its debut in V0.6 for the first round of testing. In addition, to make it easier for everyone to upload, download, and install mods, we have added an in-game Creative Workshop, which is expected to be available around the Mid-Autumn Festival. The official Steam Workshop support will be launched alongside the official game release, so stay tuned!
A reminder to all: with the opening of the Module Editor test, we are also launching the feedback and creative event for the MOD editor. We have prepared generous prizes for participants. Whether you're an artist, a numbers expert, or a story writer, as long as you're interested in modding and are willing to join us in witnessing the growth of WindStopStrategy's community content ecosystem, you're welcome to join our Elite Co-creation QQ group: 897933161 to learn more about the event and get access to the exclusive test branch of the Module Editor. Become one of the first MOD creators for WindStopStrategy!

We have completed the initial polishing of the editor, and the test version will include features such as portrait imports, 3D character model imports, music and cutscene imports, basic data modifications, and support for custom Lua scripts. Moving forward, based on our development plan and user feedback, we will continue to add more features and improve the user experience for the editor.

That's the update related to the MOD editor. Now, let’s look at what other key updates are included in V0.6.
Map Strategy Expansion
- []Added more strategic actions on the world map to enrich the gameplay.
- []A new event, "Investigate Specialties," has been added when occupying a location, allowing players to view special items produced at the location, providing strategic information for attacking or developing a region.

- New strategic actions include looting and destruction, threatening and intimidating, and stealth assassinations.
Music
- Added over a dozen new original tracks, replacing all music that didn’t fit the martial arts theme.
Art Assets
- Added a batch of new NPC characters.
Here are some examples:

Others
- Added support for Traditional Chinese language.
Optimization
- Optimization: The Fortune Training system now includes a re-randomization mechanic, and different affixes will have varying refresh probabilities based on the character’s class.
- Optimization: All shops now offer a greater variety of equipment and items.
- Optimization: The drag-and-drop feel for world map actions has been improved, with smoother acceleration and deceleration for dragging and mouse scrolling.
- Optimization: Characters now shout battle cries when performing certain combat skills to avoid the awkwardness of silent fighting.
- Optimization: Added a save folder location button in the save menu for easier save file management. Main game saves and core mod saves now have separate folders.
- Optimization: Adjusted AI skill-casting priority logic from a three-step progression system to one that factors in the number of conditions met + condition priority.
- Old logic: The higher the priority for the condition, the higher the target’s priority (e.g., Target A, which meets Condition 1, would always have higher priority than Target B, which does not).
New logic: The more conditions a target meets, the higher its priority. If the number of conditions met is the same, the one that meets higher-priority conditions comes first (e.g., Target A meets Condition 1 and Condition 2, while Target B meets Condition 2 and Condition 3; Target A would be prioritized since Condition 1 is more important).
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the [Knight] talent "Offense and Defense" was not working.
- Fixed an issue where mouse events would trigger sounds in windowed mode even when the game
- was not in focus.
- Fixed an issue where certain skill animations caused characters to constantly shift position.
- Fixed an issue where combat sound effects would loop infinitely when the game was paused.
- Fixed an issue where some skill names displayed incorrectly.
- Fixed a memory leak in resource caching that caused the screen to go black.
- Fixed an issue where the guild leader's portrait would not update when a location was captured.
- Fixed an issue where the "Uphold Justice" event would trigger repeatedly.
- Fixed an issue with reversed dialogue in certain story events. And that’s all for the WindStopStrategy Playtest V0.6 update! Thank you all for your patience and support! After the launch of V0.6, we will continue to improve the playtest experience based on your feedback and address any issues that persist in the game. We hope you enjoy the V0.6 update, and we’ll see you in the next one!
