Happy Friday Elysians! 🩵
One of our most highly requested features is controller support and our producer Ray has been hard at work towards bringing it into the game. With the recent release of the new Steam Controller, it felt like the perfect time to give a little preview of what we've been building behind the scenes.
This is still very much a work-in-progress, but here are some of the features in the works:
On-foot and glider movement
Airship flight and building
Managing items in backpack and storage (drop, sort, take all, etc.)
Crafting and Processing Stations (adding recipes, items, and fuel)
Switching between menu tabs using LB/RB and cycling through journal and guidebook entries
Map improvements (tooltips and markers)
We still need to complete testing across all systems including support for different controllers, localization passes for new strings, and visual QA for controller glyphs and related UI elements.
The goal is to make the entire experience feel smooth and intuitive whether you're playing at a desk with a mouse and keyboard or relaxing on the couch with a controller, and while there's still a lot to do, we're steadily getting closer to bringing it all together into something we can eventually share in its final form.
What’s Next
As mentioned in our last update, the team is currently heads down on a much larger V0.19 update focused on expanding the scope of the game with bigger content releases including features planned across our roadmap. As we focus on these larger updates, you can expect our patch cadence to slow down a bit over the next month, but we’re excited to share more of these upcoming features and previews with you each week as development continues.
Check out this upcoming feature we just revealed - towing with the winch:

If you have any additional feedback or suggestions, we encourage you to continue sharing them on our official feedback boards or join the conversation on our Discord.
