“David, you need to understand that if the therapy is supposed to reach its full potential, you need to let your memories flow…”
First, you need to know that Don’t Be Afraid 2 offers a standalone experience. You don’t need any prior knowledge of the first game or to remember every minute detail to enjoy it and we believe that facing the unknown has a charm of its own…

However, if your memory needs some refreshing or if you want to plunge yourself into the shadows while having all the context, here’s a quick rundown…
Your name is David Szipka. When you were eleven two ghastly men plucked you from your mother’s arms and your careless childhood abruptly ended. Franklin Deagon, ex-biology teacher and a sadistic psychopath, abducted you with the aid of his partner in crime, Theodore, to trap you in a horrific labyrinth.
You weren’t their first victim, but you were their last. You’re the only one of many kidnapped children who escaped. Franklin lost his life, but it’s hard to tell if you truly got yours back…
What happened to David over the years and who is he today? We’ll reveal more clues soon…
