Captains, traders, and aspiring tycoons!
We're thrilled to announce that Update 0.4.6 for Spaceport Trading Company is now live! This isn't just any update—this is the one you've been waiting for: modding support has been implemented!
This has been a feature a long time in the making. The Mods button has been present on the Main Menu since the launch of Early Access (EA) and while we have made attempts at getting it up and running, only now is it ready for review. It's been an intense 2.5 months of dedicated research, work, and rigorous testing. All of this work has resulted in the largest update, being 25%+ larger than the last title holder. We couldn't be more excited to finally unleash the creative potential of the captains within our community. We've built the framework, and now it's your turn to shape the future of Spaceport Trading Company!
To help you hit the ground running, we're launching with 6 example mods available in the Steam Workshop right now. These examples cover a range of possibilities and should give you a great starting point for understanding how to create your own unique additions to the game.
What Does This Mean for You?
Unleash Your Creativity: Want new ships, unique items, altered game mechanics, or entirely new factions? Now you can make them!
Endless Possibilities: The game is now more open-ended than ever. Expect a constant stream of new content and experiences from both us and the community.
Community-Driven Content: Dive into the Steam Workshop, subscribe to your favorite mods, and discover new ways to play Spaceport Trading Company.
We can't wait to see what amazing creations you'll come up with. Head over to the Steam Workshop, explore the example mods, and start crafting your own vision for the galaxy!
As always, thank you for your incredible support and passion for Spaceport Trading Company. We'll see you among the stars—and now, in the workshop!
