This event has concluded as of January 11, 2026
Original Announcement:
December 11, 2025
Hi everyone!
Croak devs here, launching our first ever BETA PLAYTEST for the holidays!
We're so excited to finally open the doors behind the scenes of Croak and gather your feedback to improve the game. It's also a great opportunity to have your voice heard!
For an effective playtest, we will randomly select participants who signed up on our Steam page, with priority given to those who subscribe to our mailing list. ✎
This helps ensure we can give proper care and attention to every piece of feedback and that every participant's voice is heard.
Thank you all for your interest in our studio's first game! :)
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a great end to 2025!
- Croak dev team 𓆏

-- Playtest Extension --
January 06, 2026
Due to the delay in the start of this playtest, we have decided to extend access to the build giving you a few extra days to play! The Holiday Playtest is now be accessible until January 11.
We are approving a set amount of new players everyday, so don't forget to check your email for a Steam invitation to Croak!
This playtest only takes place on Steam (and is free). We will never ask you to download outside of the official Steam website nor ask you for personal information.
Thank you and we apologize once again for the prior inconvenience!

EDIT: The playtest is now live! :)
Hi again! 𓆏
I want to apologize for the delay on the playtest -- we uploaded it to Steam last week, but it's still pending approval; I've been told this process can take around 3-5 days, so fingers crossed it goes live soon! If you'd like to skip the wait, you are welcome to join our Discord where members have early (and extended) access to the playtest!
This invite will take you straight to the application channel to receive an insider key (which will grant you access to all future playtests) ꄗ
Thank you so much for your patience regarding the matter!
