Hello, everyone!
We are pleased to officially reveal a brand-new DLC for Miss Peacock, and it has also been installed in version 1.7.3.
The story of this DLC draws inspiration from a real personal account. The narrator’s father once worked for a Sino-French joint venture. Between 1929 and 1930, company employees and their families traveled from China to Vietnam, living in places including Saigon, Bích Dao Động, and Yên Bái.
At first, these recollections seem like fragments of an ordinary childhood: cottages with mud walls and thatched roofs, moss-covered mountain paths, fishing and hunting trips, trucks carrying children through the countryside, a newly built school near the mines, and an unfamiliar period of life in a welfare institution.
But as the memories unfold, more and more unexplained details begin to emerge:
Why did the former head of the household insist on reaching a Chinese family’s residence after being injured, only to die along the way?
What was the mysterious Vietnamese woman who succeeded her really looking for?
What connected the mines, the welfare institution, and the growing unrest in the region?
What exactly happened to the narrator’s father during his time in Yên Bái?
Why did the company suddenly evacuate, and what did more than 3,000 employees and their families leave behind?
In this DLC, real history and fictional narrative will intertwine. Players will enter a story buried for nearly a century and attempt to reconstruct what truly happened through fragments of family memory, local folklore, and traces left behind by a turbulent era.
The everyday moments that survived in memory may be concealing the secrets no one wished to speak of.
Thank you, as always, for your continued interest and support.
