🏴☠️ Ahoy there, Pirates!
The path to becoming the Devil Himself has always led across the endless Sea of Clouds. The next Major Update, codename "KRAKEN HUNT," is not just an update - it’s the moment DAVY x JONES transforms into the grand pirate action-adventure across the islands and the skies with one very important aspect.
⚓ From Islands to the Endless Sea of Clouds 🐋 Abby's True Role.
Since the very beginning of the DAVY x JONES journey, our vision has always been to deliver an uncompromising pirate action-adventure. You’ve mastered the intense, headless, First-Person combat on the scattered islands, but the endless Sea of Clouds has always loomed - waiting for its true captain to be conquered.
When we revealed the game, the magnificent, sentient half-ship, half-whale ally, Abby, has been teased as a fundamental part of your revenge. She's is your safe harbor, your trusted ally, and your base of operations. And with this upcoming Major Update - She’s about to become something much more significant to the story, the world, and the core gameplay loop.
That’s right: You will soon be able to steer and sail through The Locker on Abby's Deck!
This is not a cosmetic feature. This ability to sail and navigate the swirling chaos of the pirate underworld is the new way for you to live this story like a true pirate action-adventure.
It introduces a vital, expansive Third-Person perspective into our game, making the Sea of Clouds a vast, non-linear realm of exploration and danger.
This sneak peek shows just a sliver of the scale we are getting into. We are currently incorporating several new design elements that will expand upon this magnificent aspect of the game, making your time with Abby a core, dynamic experience.
💥Wait, Naval battles? 🔱 Hunts? What it that exactly?
Non-Linear aspect of the pirate adventure: Chart your course across the abyss to find new enemies, secrets, and challenges.
Action-packed NAVAL BATTLES: Yes, you heard that correctly. The introduction of sky sailing is the foundation for thrilling, large-scale Naval Battles, turning your sentient ally into a living warship capable of epic engagements against fleets and, most importantly...
Being a True Captain: Abby's new role isn't just mechanical - it’s important to the story. Her power, and your mastery of it, will become the vital part of your pirate journey.
Hunts - now a fresh, sprawling element of the whole experience - will arrive with this next patch and the first of them is THE KRAKEN HUNT. Prepare for a full breakdown soon, as we're preparing a showcase where we'll tell you more about it and how its going to be a new challenging element of your time in The Locker.
This means that we need some additional time fully prepare for it, and the date we initially thought of for this update will be pushed forward from the late October to November - Additional time will be in your favor so that what's coming will be EPIC. ⏱️
