Girlypop Wrapped is here, and it’s more dynamic, personal, and unmistakably c❤❤❤y than ever before 💅 It’s Jane, the lead developer at Funny Fintan Softworks, and it’s time for our December… ✨Dev Storytime✨ Today, I’m going to be wrapping up the year in a nice bow with a review of what 2025 has been like for us 🎀
Let’s start with our most recent big announcement, which is that Don’t Stop, Girlypop! officially has a release date!!!
On December 1st, we did an IGN exclusive where we announced that we’ll be launching on…

It’s been such a wild ride getting here and it’s hard to believe that we’re nearly at the end of it all. So how did 2025 start for us?
We started off the year strong after being accepted into IGN Fan Fest!
On February 27th, we shared a brand new trailer with the world, where we announced our name change from Incolatus: Don’t Stop, Girlypop! to just Don’t Stop, Girlypop! and revealed that we’d partnered with UK-based publisher Kwalee.
You can watch the IGN Fan Fest trailer here to see just how much our look and gameplay has changed since the beginning of the year 👇
In June of this year, we kicked off our monthly Dev Storytime feature by giving you all a window into the full girlypop journey. It was so nerve-wracking to finally be sharing our development story with you all, but we received so many kind comments on that first post and it really spurred us on to keep the series going! We didn’t think so many of you were interested in the making of Don’t Stop, Girlypop!, but it turns out we were wrong!
You can read that first dev storytime below, where we talked all about the full development journey, which started over 5 years ago 👇

In September, we were super stoked to find out that Don’t Stop, Girlypop! had been accepted into Boomstock 2025. Since we have such an unconventional look compared to other FPS games, we were really worried that the FPS and specifically the boomer shooter fan base might not be accepting of our game, so it was reassuring to be chosen for the showcase for all things booming and shooting!!!
In the same month, we also took a demo build to Pixel Expo in Perth, since our studio (Funny Fintan Softworks) is based in Western Australia. We got a lot of positive feedback on the demo during the event, which definitely helped us feel more confident about what was coming next…
Our biggest milestone came in October of this year, when we released our first public demo for October Next Fest. I have to admit, I was absolutely terrified about putting out a public demo, since I had no idea how people were going to react or if what we were making was any good.
I’m happy to report that we’ve been absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the response to our demo <33333
There are currently over 700 reviews on our demo at a Very Positive 89% rating, which totally smashed our expectations. Here are just a few of some of our favorite quotes from our demo reviews for your enjoyment:
“ill never stop :3” - beatlelover14
“The Australian Government funded the making of DOOM for real men. Now I can finally SLAY, girlie.” - Catgamer
“Release the full game already so I can inject Love straight into my veins and experience bedazzled euphoria.” - Music Enjoyer
“Tommy is my goat
Edit: NOOOOOOOOOO TOMMY” - Five Pancakes
Having our demo be so well-received definitely gave us confidence and showed us that we were on the right track, so we felt empowered by your LOVE as we continued development.
However, there was one major problem that players had with our demo.
They 👏 Wanted 👏 Our 👏 Soundtrack 👏
But it wasn’t available to stream anywhere!
So we partnered up with our incredible composers Candice Susnjar, Sarah Wolfe, and Xavier Dunn to see what we could do! If you want to learn a bit more about them and all of the incredible work they’ve done on the Don’t Stop, Girlypop! soundtrack, you can read our interview with Candice here:

Thanks to their hard work and help, we were able to release Volume 1 of the Don’t Stop, Girlypop! soundtrack across all major streaming platforms on the same day that we did our release date reveal!!!
If you want to listen to it, you can stream it right now on:
👉On Spotify👈 👉On YouTube👈 👉On Apple Music👈 👉On Amazon Music👈 👉On TIDAL👈
And that brings us right up to the present, where we’re still hard at work putting the finishing touches on the game before our big launch in 2026 💖
It’s been an absolutely incredible year and we couldn’t have done it without you!!! Thank you so much for all of your support and feedback.
We won’t be stopping now until launch and we can’t wait to share the full game with you next year <3
Oh yeah, and this sh❤t is about to get ✦ SUPER ✦ DUPER ✦ MEGA ✦ serious!!!!
