I want to be very honest with you, and I kindly ask for your patience in reading this text:
First of all, I would like to thank all the Steam users who purchased the game to support me. This proves that Steam has a strong and responsive community. I am truly grateful for what you have done for me, and this will stay with me forever.
I would also like to clarify that the game is fully completed and apologize for any confusion caused by my previous wording, which might have given the impression that the project was unfinished.
In my previous announcement, what I was actually referring to—without being explicit—was that the company I created to publish the game requires maintenance with annual expenses that are quite high (at least for me, as I am working alone). I also started the company with the goal of continuing to create games, with this first game serving as a way to finance my next project (which, at this stage, is only in the idea/sketch phase and is planned as an adventure game). But, if the company cannot survive without me constantly having to fund it out of pocket, then the most rational decision would be to shut it down, as I simply cannot afford this luxury since my additional funds are now exhausted. As a result of shutting down the company, the game will have to be withdrawn.
At this moment, thanks to your support, I will be able to cover about 70% of the company's expenses, which led me to the decision to cancel the game's withdrawal for another year as a response to your initiative.
I also want to emphasize that all previous updates were made with great pleasure based on players’ constructive feedback. To me, a completed game is one that takes user feedback into account, implementing suggestions to improve the experience and make it more enjoyable. I know I am a beginner, and for that reason, I am willing to continue improving the project I created.
Moving forward, considering the latest player suggestions and the support you have given me, I will work on creating a series of updates that will transform the game. At the same time, I kindly ask for your patience in implementing them, as this is the first game I have ever developed, without having any prior background in gaming or technology. Everything I have learned has been through online tutorials and a lot of determination.
Upcoming Updates:
1. I will implement a save option for Explorer difficulty at all three levels, in the initial respawn areas of each level. This will allow players to complete the game without having to start from the beginning every time they exit, enabling them to continue their challenge from the initial respawn point of their current level.
2. On Survivor difficulty, players will not be able to access saves made on Explorer difficulty. To complete the game on this difficulty, players will need to finish it in a single attempt — this being the final challenge of the game.
3. I will add two badges to reflect the completion of the game on both difficulty levels: one for finishing on Explorer (which includes saves) and another for completing Survivor mode in a single run. These two earned badges will be permanently visible in the game's start menu.
4. Once both badges are obtained, you will be able to prove that you have beaten the game in its entirety !
Thank you again for your amazing support !
