No game update this time, instead its a community update.
Publisher Changes
If you have been watching the store page closely, you may have noticed something: there are now two names listed as the publisher. Hippo Havoc has partnered with VoxPop Games to help market the game! We decided to make this partnership for a few reasons:
- Reach a wider audience. VoxPop can help us reach more people than we could alone.
- Expertise in marketing. Hippo Havoc is a new studio of four people, and we don't have experience marketing yet. This partnership will help us gain an understanding of marketing, and improve our own for the future.
- We know the people. One of our original team members now works at VoxPop, so we can trust they have our best interests in mind.
Pricing changes
With this new partnership, Disaster Golf will be getting a pricing change. Instead of Free to Play, we will be releasing Disaster Golf at a price point of $1.99. If you already have a beta key, you will NOT lose access. This will allow the game to be featured in Steam's sales and festivals, you can't put a discount on a free game!

Future Communications
Communications about the game will be going out in two places: here, and the Discord server above. Every update or major event will be posted to both. Platform-specific things, like a Discord event will be posted exclusively to that channel.
These updates will also start getting signed! They are something to be proud of, and knowing whom is communicating can help build the trust we are striving for. That said, whether the signature uses a screen name or real name will depend on the author(s) level of comfort putting that out there. It will remain consistent per author. So, starting with this post, look for the signatures at the bottom!
