Build 224531 for The Talos Principle is released.
If you have previously opted into public beta, you already have this.
Here are the changes:
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue where player profiles could not be loaded if multiple controllers are used.
- Multiple controllers are now fully supported and should work correctly.
- It's no longer possible to open the journal with a keyboard while the shift key is pressed. This prevents conflicts between default bindings for the journal (tab) and steam overlay (shift+tab).
- Alternative use now works correctly when picking up items across a plasma wall.
- Fixed an issue where players could get stuck if a fan was pushing them against a plasma wall.
- Fixed an issue where dates displayed on computer terminals would be cut too early on some languages.
- Mines will no longer explode nor shock player's recording, but pass straight through it.
- Fixed object scaling in world editor when using world coord system.
- Occlusion culling now works correctly for objects which use off-screen rendering.
- Several fixes and improvements on the autotest bot.
Optimizations:
- Improved LODs on many models.
- Implemented a faster and higher quality ambient occlusion method: Scalable Ambient Obscurance.
Linux/OSX:
- On Linux, window adjustment is no longer attempted when setting display mode if window wasn't even created. This prevents a crash on early fatal errors (after initializing window system but before creating the window).
- Fixed a rare crash that would sometimes happen when trying to show a system message on Linux.
- Fixed a crash which was preventing safe mode from working on Linux and OSX.
- Fixed an issue preventing system messages from being shown if running the game in fullscreen on OSX.
