Howdy Partners!
Due to the incredible amount of interest and the sheer volume of feedback we are receiving, we have some great news: we are extending the Farmbotic Early Playtest to September 14!
You now have an extra week to build, automate, and explore.
Note: You are free to record and share content from the game. In fact - please do so!
We Hear You (The Good and the Bumpy)
We are closely monitoring all your reports across Discord, Steam forums, our emails, and the playtest survey (over 450 responses already!). It is a massive amount of information to process, but don't worry, we are already cutting through the data.
It’s amazing to see that you enjoy the world and praise the graphic style as well as the sounds and music. That is crucial, as this is the backbone of the game. It seems that we managed to create a proper foundation for a cozy world ready to automate. Thank you for your kind words!
We also hear your frustrations regarding optimization and performance drops. Please know that tackling these stutters and improving the overall framerate is our absolute top priority right now. Your detailed bug reports and honest reviews are exactly what our team needs to pinpoint and fix these core issues.
A Tiny Sneak Peek
While we plan to share a massive, detailed breakdown of all your feedback once the playtest officially concludes, we couldn't resist dropping one quick teaser.
It is amazing to see how perfectly your feature requests align with our internal plans. A huge number of you asked for proper animal farming. While you might have already met (and petted!) a cow or two roaming the world, we are happy to confirm that actual farming mechanics for cows and chickens are officially in production!
Our feathered friends aren't the only animals getting some love! As you can see, our sheep now come in several distinct genetic variations. Whether you prefer the classic white fleece with black faces, solid brown, sleek dark grey, or a uniquely spotted brown-and-white coat, you'll have plenty of woolly options for your pens.
Your feedback means the world to us!
We want to know exactly what you love, what feels a bit clunky, and what you’d like to see improved before our full release.
Please share your thoughts, bug reports, and bright ideas with us by filling out our Feedback Survey in-game or right here or via the Steam Community Hub, our official Discord server.
Every single comment helps us refine the bots, balance the systems, and make this the best futuristic farming experience possible!
How to Join the Fun?
If you haven't requested access yet, it's not too late! Just head over to our Steam store page, scroll down to the Playtest section, and hit that green "Request Access" button.
If you've already been selected, you should receive an email notification from Steam, and the Playtest version of the game will be ready to download in your library.
And again - remember that this is an early playtest! Not all parts of the game are ready and for now we will focus on single player experience.
While you're checking out the store page, we would be incredibly grateful if you added Farmbotic to your Wishlist! It helps us out immensely and ensures you won't miss any future news, updates, or devlogs leading up to our launch.
