Hello everyone, we’re really sorry that some of you ran into problems with saving and loading your game mid-run. With the runs being as long as they are, it is incredibly important that they work properly. Truth be told, this proved to be a more complicated issue than we were expecting. This feature was working for us devs and beta playtesters, so we were surprised to see some people having terrible issues with it. We are truly sorry about that and we thank you so much for your patience these last few days.
So, we hunkered down and rewrote the saving and loading system. It’s now way more stable and less sensitive to error. Some playtesters in the community have even claimed it has fixed previously softlocked save files. We’d like to believe the problem has been solved now, but we’d still like crash reports if they happen.
Thank you so much for your support!
Of course, that’s not the only thing this patch fixes.

- Very rarely when Saving a downed unit, then quitting and loading again will cause the game to think that unit is still around in a weird (but not game-breaking) way
