Hello, there!
This is Cat Society!
What's in the Update
In this update, we've added the following:
Added Difficulty mode
You can now enjoy by selecting a difficulty level.
You can choose the difficulty level when you start a new game, and you can also change it at any time during the game from the lobby scene.
The difficulty level determines the level of objectives you need to achieve in a stage, and the amount of money you need to send to the Dragon each month. For now, we're keeping the game at two difficulty levels, but we may adjust the number of levels in the future after hearing from players.
Added Monthly Settlements and Commissions
Sara's contract with the dragon requires her to send the dragon some (or most!!) of the inn's profits every month. During the last week of each month, she must report to the dragon on how she's been doing!
And along with adding a Monthly Settlements scene, we've also improved the Stage Results screen.
Added Selection Constraints by Ability
When a stage event occurs, certain options will only be available to you if you have a high level of the relevant ability. The higher your each ability level, the easier it will be to make choices that benefit your Inn.
Improved Visual Effects
In this build, we focused a lot on making the more interesting to look at.
First, as mentioned in a previous devlog, we're highlighting adventurers using the Inn on the 'Today's Lodge' menu screen. Previously, we used to show adventurer icons on top of the room/facility tiles, but in this build, we've switched to showing adventurers in motion alongside the faction-specific inn layout.
On the stage main screen, we've also enhanced the way we display which rooms and facilities adventurers stay in and use when they visit the inn each turn. Previously, it was simply represented like a log, but we've changed it up by showing the room/facility tiles and putting an adventurer icon on top of them.
Our next update, scheduled for June 2024, will prepare us for the upcoming CBT. We've laid the groundwork for with the "soft-opening" story, but now we'll focus on expanding it. We'll keep you updated on our progress.
Stay tuned for new characters to meet, and more stories for Sara and her friends to tell!
Thank you.
