Hi, Gamers!
Tina here—Social Media Expert and Host at RolldBox Games. Today, I’m chatting with Cris, the Art Director of the studio at RolldBox Games 👋
We’re already sharing gameplay from Masks of the Void: Origins! Across different times, different days, and even in other languages! 🌐
It won’t be long before you can enjoy the full experience. There’s still so much to discover — and in the meantime, we’ll keep showing you behind-the-scenes details of its creation and development.
Enjoy it!
Inside the Development Process
In our previous Devlog, we gave you a sneak peek of our Void character from The Neverending Night and what its colors represent.
Now, we’ll dive a bit deeper into how we got there:
When we first began imagining The Void, we drew inspiration from a wide range of media — from games like Hades to galaxy images captured by our satellites, and even Marvel movies like The Avengers.
We chose shades of purple, mainly inspired by stellar nebulae, aiming to represent that vast space in The Void, charged with raw power. We truly believe purple embodies power, as we hinted at in last week’s Devlog.
From the very beginning, we wanted to avoid reddish tones, so players wouldn’t feel an immediate, physical threat. Instead, we wanted them to be drawn to the warmth of the soft violets, blended with cooler shades to heighten that feeling of calm before the storm.

Sneak Peek of Upcoming Content
Sound is a core element for us in Masks of the Void, from the sound effects to the original soundtrack.
Every sound effect enhances each part of the game — every movement, every decision, every consequence — and conveys the dynamic energy you bring to the game with your play style.
The soundtrack is there with you the whole time, shifting subtly across maps and areas, amplifying the mood and atmosphere of each environment we’ve crafted.
We’re proud to have top-tier, AAA-level professionals behind both aspects of the audio, helping bring our vision to life!
Once we share the credits list, you’ll get to see all of them! 🎶
