- Full release date: August 26, 2024; 10:00 a.m. PST
I wanted to share some exciting news with you. Today, the game received approval from the Steam censors, and early access will begin on August 26th. Developing Origin has been one of my most challenging projects. I aimed not just for a linear game but something bigger and more expansive, with a partially open world, a main storyline, and side quests. Here, players can act as they wish and explore freely. Factions fight among themselves or against mutants, and thanks to partial procedural generation, each visit to a location will be unique.
Despite my 12 years of experience in mobile development, working on VR is not a solo endeavor; it requires a team. However, I am pleased with what I have accomplished and hope you'll soon appreciate it. The game has come a long way from what Project X was, and the wait is almost over!
Thank you to everyone who supported me both morally and financially by purchasing Project X. Most of the funding for Origin came from there. Together, we can achieve a lot!
Add the game to your wishlist to don't miss the launch!
