Even if Halloween has not started yet, it already smells like zombies and blood in the air.
Silent Hill 2
In my restless dreams, I see that town... Salento Valley
Silent Hill 2 revived horror - Vultures will make it tactical.
For Vultures Scavengers of Death, we were inspired by Silent Hill 2. What better than the recent remake release to talk a bit about these inspirations?
What inspired us in Silent Hill?
- Aesthetic of retro horror games from the PlayStation 1 era
- The element of fog and the fear of not knowing what lies beyond
- Nightmarish enemies, some of which are manifestations of their own fears and guilt
- The main characters have traumas and guilt that they will confront during their campaign to save Salento
- Elements that may seem paranormal and cult-like
Why do we choose to keep this retro aesthetic?
- Nostalgy
- A love letter to the original survival horror games from the PSx era
- The 'less details' encourages players’ imagination
- It gives more freedom in terms of the aesthetic approach
- Simplify the production of 3D assets
Did you play the recent Silent Hill 2? Because we LOVED it!
