Hello Vultures agents!
It's been a week since the game was released and what a week that was!
First of all, we wanted to thank you again, all of you who believed in a game made by 2 colombians devs that tried to mix two genre which did not seem compatible at first. It was a challenge for us, but your presence and support is a proof that turn-based can be horrific!
We know the launch was not as smooth as we would have liked and that many issues and bugs might have negatively affected your experience of the game. For that, we apologize again as we would have liked for you to experience the game in the best conditions, that is why our priority since launch is to target and fix them as quickly as possible.
In this news, you will find:
A recap of what has been done;
What we're currently working on;
What is coming next for Vultures;

What has been done:
We could not be more grateful for the amazing community that was built around our game, as you took the time to let us know when you encountered issues and helped us track and fix bugs quickly with more than 6 Patch Notes! Among the fixes, you can find:
Many softlocks of the game regarding different levels, zombies sharing a tile with you, boss fights and unreachable items have been fixed;
Improvements of the arsenal and inventory management by creating sorting buttons;
Map icons not displayed while their text label remained;
Improvements of enemies behavior (especially the offsprings enemies);
Save file system reworked and improved (save slots, etc...);
Various localization and interface fixes made as well;

What we're currently working on:
Alongside bug fixing, our next Patch Notes will also focus on:
Rebalancing the game with a bit more difficulty: the idea would be to create a slightly increased challenge when facing enemies (not a hardcore mode as this will be part of a future update, see "What is coming next" section);
Fixing remaining softlocked issues and annoying bugs;
Investigating and finding what cause some crashes, especially crashes at launch;
What is coming next:
We have not only taken into account your bug reports, but also your suggestions to shape what would be the next steps for Vultures!
What will arrive soon:
Difficulty Mode Options: we want to implement a new mode that would increase the general difficulty of the game much more, with less ammunitions, modifying zombies encounters and some changes on bosses fight. We're also planning to keep a story mode for those who want to explore at their own pace the game without too much difficulty;
Inventory management improvements: we've already made changes to help manage inventory with sorting buttons, but we want to go further with stacking options and the possibility to move the pistol away from the inventory;
Equipement displayed options: everyone wants to look cool while killing zombies, so we totally understand your wish for helmets to not be always visually displayed when equipped, we will work on an option in the costume menu to toggle or not the helmets visuals while keeping the effect of the helmet;

We're also interested in another project that we thought for Vultures even before the game was released and that, suprisingly, were mentioned by some of you as well.
What will arrive later:
A level editor option: this is a wish for a laaaaater future as we have already many things to improve, but when we first worked on the Vultures project, we wanted to create an option for you to create your own levels with in-game tools and then share your creations among the community for them to play! The core system is already in place, since we are using it! Nevertheless, the remaining work on this level editor would be on delivering a polished, user-friendly interface (and, let's face it, a video tutorial). As you can guess, it will require a lot of work from us, so for now it's only a tease of what it could be, but the idea is there. We're curious to hear your thoughts on this topic!
The week to come will still be focused on bug fixing, quality of life improvements and crash investigation, but we can now also shift part of our focus on implementing these new features to Vultures! It may require some time for some of them before they make it to the final game, but we will keep you updated regularly on our progress!
Don't hesitate to share your thoughts on these future additions, and if you spot a bug or have a suggestion for us, you can share it in our Discord or in the Steam Discussions!
Don't hesitate to leave us a review as it helps a lot indie devs with visibility! Thank you to everyone who already took the time to share theirs!

Watch your backs, agents!
