Developer Note,
Thank you so much for taking your interest in my little indie game. Starship Scramble is my very first title, featuring an absurd amount of unique modules and weapons. I really put my heart in each and every one of them.
This is also my first experience with bosses, there are a small number of them but in high variety. The exciting thing is they interact with all the terrain in the game, their projectiles destroy ore fields, creating an open and dangerous battlefield as the run is dragged on. They can be stopped by asteroids and borders. Some of them use borders as walkable paths. I also learned procedural animations to develop the two final bosses.
One crucial mechanic I introduced to the game is Tune-Up, game changing items that can be assigned into every weapon. Although they are quite complicated, they are extremely fun and satisfying when you manage to pull the trigger.
