Since I finally managed to release the game, I want to share a few things with you first. Before you buy, please be aware that this is not a fully finished game. Many features are already implemented, such as base building, crafting, secrets, quests, a dialogue system, and more, but most of them are still quite basic.
I'm still experimenting with some mechanics to find the best way to implement them. Everything works, but it could definitely be better. The UI, in particular, looks pretty terrible – turns out that's not really my talent.
In short: Keep your expectations low. I don’t want anyone to buy the game and end up not having fun. And fun is the most important thing!
Right now, I'm working on adding missing content for the current cave/dungeon over the next few weeks, including secrets and items. At the same time, I’ll be expanding the Area over the next few months to complete Act 1. I’m also planning to create a rough timeline to outline the game's further development.
I highly recommend trying the demo first. It’s not always up to date, but it’s useful for checking performance. Performance is still a tricky issue – a modern graphics card should handle it fine. If you’re not aiming for 4K , your PC should handle it without melting down.
Right now, I’m struggling with shadows and Lumen and looking for ways to optimize performance.
Best regards,
Mark Koch
And don’t forget: Have fun!
