The GALACTIC WARSHIP Roadmap!!!
I'm excited to finally share this with everyone- Galactic Warship is hitting Early Access this April 2025!
This Early Access release will just be the start of something bigger. The game is definitely playable and packed with cool stuff, but I've got so many more ideas and features planned. I want you all along for the ride as we make this game even more awesome.
What's in the Early Access release?
The Early Access version will have plenty of features and allow me to gather feedback on what people like and what they don’t. You get to play with 9 different ships from 3 totally different alien races (The final game will have 6 races.)
• Humans: Classic no frills “Human race in a game where nothing else is normal” warfare - solid armor, hard-hitting guns, and getting better with experience
• Velox: Space-raptors who LOVE explosions. These guys are fast and everything goes boom
• Caligo: These sneaky aquatic aliens are all about "you can't hit what you can't see" and fancy beam weapons
You'll get to take these ships into three wild realms (Chaos, The Dark Forest, and the Celestial Abyss), fight some seriously tough bosses, and unlock tons of cool stuff along the way. There is an interactive library system that tracks everything you've found and tells you more about the story. Early Access will have some basic Steam Achievements as well, and rudimentary gamepad support.
What's Coming Next?
I’ve planned four major updates to the game before the Final Release. Each update will focus on introducing a new race, as well as additional bosses, missions, and other features.
July 2025 - The Fronde Update
Ever wanted to pilot a living spaceship? That's exactly what you're getting! The Fronde are communal organisms that love to explore, spread joy, and eat new things. They're all about adapting and healing during fights.
October 2025 - The Apparatus Update
The Ronin Apparatus are AI that have detached themselves from a central command and operate independently. These super defensive ships that are all about controlling the battlefield and ignoring classical physics.
April 2026 - The Occultum Update
The Occultum - High Risk, High Reward. The Occultum sacrifice themselves for their beliefs, and are granted ultimate power in return. Their ships are glass cannons with immense potential in the right hands.
April 2026 - The Big One
This is when everything comes together - every race will have 9 ships to choose from. There will be (at least) 15 boss fights to tackle, and tons of achievements to hunt down.
Let's Build This Together!
I want your feedback. I’m going Early Access because I need your help shaping GALACTIC WARSHIP into the best game it can be. See something you think could be better? Let me know! Have an idea for a cool feature? I’ll steal it!
I'll be regularly updating the game, fixing things that need fixing, and adding new stuff for you to play with. Think of it as us teaming up to make something awesome.
Ready to jump in? The void is calling, and there's a whole lot of space out there to explore!
