Patch 0.8.290 is here!

Hello raiders!

We emerge from the mists of Neterun for our weekly update, to share the newly released patch and the work we’re planning for upcoming updates.

In this release, we’re happy to announce support for two new languages: Russian and Brazilian Portuguese. Localization will not stop here, and we will gradually roll out additional supported languages in future patches.

As for what we’re working on, as mentioned in the last dev diary, one of the upcoming releases will include a major update to mining. One of the main ways raiders can upgrade their bodies and survive the dangers of Neterun is by finding resources and bringing them to Stations to be handed over to the Imperials. Since we want mining to feel cleaner and more interesting as part of your Neterun experience, we have decided to make a series of targeted improvements.

We are redesigning mining areas from both an aesthetic and an economic perspective. This involves refining progression and balance, alongside the visual identity of each mining zone. We are also revisiting the resource distribution, so each area offers a more controlled selection of materials that makes sense for both visuals and game economy. Using Chaos Physics, we are updating the fracture setup of mineables to make gathering more satisfying.

On the economy side, we are rebalancing the modules already available in the game and introducing new ones. We want to expand ship customization, increase the creative options available to exiled raiders, and give you more ways to grow stronger over time.

And that’s all for this week. We look forward to seeing you in the next diary!

Farewell, raiders!
