Update Highlights
Update Details
Ⅰ Game Architecture Adjustment
1.1 Architecture Adjustment
EA Version 0.95 features a ground-up revamp of the game's architecture adjustment. We've moved on from the centralized server-dependent online model to a standalone single-player, focusing on local saves. On top of this, we've added support for Steam P2P Friends Co-op (limited to Team Match and Touring Match gameplay).
To echo this pivotal shift in direction, we have redesigned the game lobby from the ground up.
Boasting a more spacious layout and immersive atmosphere, it serves as a heartfelt farewell to our former online-focused architecture and a symbol of our commitment to prioritizing the player’s local experience in this new phase.
1.2 Play Solo Anytime, Anywhere!
Based on your feedback regarding online and single-player experiences, we've made this pivotal decision:
Meta Ghost: Breaking Show EA V.0.95 is now a fully standalone single-player game!
This is a breaking show crafted exclusively for you and the world of code.
No constant internet connection is required to play.
100% local save: all character progress, collected Cyberwares, and clearance record.
No more worries about network lags, server maintenance, or account binding. Just launch and play at your own pace.
**Note this: Some features in this version require a Steam online status. Offline Steam mode will be
supported in future updates.
1.3 Data Save Rules
Steam Cloud Save Is Now Supported!
The game now supports Steam Cloud synchronization. Local save files are automatically backed up to the Steam Cloud and synced across all devices under the same Steam account.
What this means for you:
You can continue your breaking show seamlessly across different computers.
You can restore your latest progress from Steam Cloud in case of losing the local save.
**Note this: Local save files remain the authoritative data source, while Cloud data is for backup and cross-device convenience only.
New Quality-of-Life Feature
Go to [Settings] → [Game Log] (top-right corner) in-game to directly open the folder where local save files and log files are stored. If you encounter any errors or bugs after the update, please compress and submit all log files in the [Logs]directory. Your help will allow us to jointly refine the cyber world of Breaking Show: Meta Ghost.
Save File Inheritance
[EA Player Saves]
All players who purchased the game during Early Access (EA) can fully download their progress from the online servers to local devices when EA V.0.95 launches. No need to start from scratch.
**Note this: A stable network connection is required when launching EA V.0.95 for the first time to enable automatic download of your EA saves.
[Playtest Player Saves]
For players who participated in Playtest Round 1 (August 2025), Playtest Round 2 (November 2025), or P2P-Test (January 2026), your local saves have been stored permanently on your devices, which can be inherited directly to EA V.0.95.
Starting with EA V.0.95, these save files will also be included in Steam Cloud synchronization, either by manual activation or upon the first save trigger.
[Saves Support]
If you fail to download EA save files, contact our official team via the channels listed at the end of this notice, send us a private message or join the Discord community for assistance. You can also click the "Saves Support" button at the bottom right of the in-game login screen to register your Steam ID and contact info. We will retrieve and provide any EA save files linked to your account from our servers.
[Saves Inheritance Deadline]
The Meta Ghost: Breaking Show online servers are scheduled to shut down on July 1, 2026. After this date, EA save file download services will no longer be available. All EA players are advised to update to EA V.0.95 and launch the game to trigger save file download and Steam Cloud synchronization before this deadline.
1.4 Steam P2P Friends Co-op
EA V.0.95 supports Steam friend invites for co-op gameplay. Team up with your buddies and dive into the world of Meta Ghost: Breaking Show together!
**Note this: Features including online match-making, social features, Louder message board, Marketplace, and exchange code are no longer supported. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
We're closely monitoring the performance of this feature. We invite you to test it out and send us feedback on any issues you encounter, such as a connection failure, sync anomaly. Attaching log files with your feedback will help us optimize the co-op experience faster.
Ⅱ RPG Progression Overhaul
2.1 Cyberware Stats
Cyberware Level
Cyberwares now have both the level and the merged level.
The new leveling system is centered around loot drops at Touring Match. Higher-difficulty matches will reward you with Cyberwares of higher levels and merged star levels.
Cyberware Merged Star Level
Cyberware actual level = Cyberware level + merged star level * (Fine +1 / Rare +2 / Epic +3 / Legendary +4).
Once a Cyberware's actual level is upgraded, its main stat will be recalculated, which decides affixes' unlocking level when remaking the Cyberware.
Cyberware Affix Level
All Cyberware sub affixes will not be upgraded by "enhance" or "merge", instead, they are randomly generated from Affix pool based on Cyberware actual level.
You can still use the "Remake" function to randomize desired combinations.
Secondary Stats
Cyberwares of different slots vary in secondary stat affix pools.
A large number of new secondary stats have been added to enrich late-game build diversity.
Effects
Cyberwares of different slots vary in effect affix pools.
Lv.3 and Lv.4 effects are available, allowing you to take on higher-difficulty challenges with greater power.
New effects which can be counted as universal set component have been added to enrich late-game build crafting options.
2.2 Cyberware Weaponizing
Interface Operations
The interaction logic has been rebuilt to locate and equip&unequip Cyberwares faster and easier.
Separate View Mode and Browse Mode have been added for keyboard and mouse users.
Fully optimized for controller operations.
Filter Function
Filterable entries have been rebuilt to increase Cyberware filter efficiency.
Computational Support
Computational Support—Memory/Chips: A quick-view feature for Driver and Relic effects has been added.
2.3 Cyberware Remodel
Entry Added
A dedicated entry for "Cyberware Remodel" has been added, and the previous entry right to Cyberware details has been removed.
Enhancement Removed
The feature " Cyberware Enhancement" has been removed. Cyberwares no longer require material consumption for leveling, and affixes no longer receive random level upgrades.
**Note this: All affix levels of Cyberwares you already own in inventory will be retained.
Remake Adjusted
Permanent Affix Locking: There is no need to lock affixes multiple times during Remake, as the system will automatically retain your previous lock status.
Sub affixes are randomly generated from the affix pool based on Cyberware level.
Cyberwares of different slots have unique affix pools, which can be viewed by clicking the button right to effect description.
Merge Adjusted
Cyberware Leveling: If the quality of material Cyberware is ≥ quality of main Cyberware, and the level of material Cyberware is ≥ level of main Cyberware, then the level of merged main Cyberware = level of material Cyberware. Material Cyberware will be consumed. Main stat will be recalculated when the target Cyberware's level is upgraded.
Merged Star Level: Merging Rare or Legendary Cyberwares can enhance their merged star level. If the quality of material Cyberware is ≥ quality of main Cyberware, and the merged star level of material Cyberware is ≥ Merged star level of main Cyberware, then merged main Cyberware’ star level +1.
Inherited Affix Transfer: Inherited affixes (marked with a lightning icon) on the material Cyberware can be transferred to the main Cyberware.
Assembly Adjusted
Assembly Library: The selection method of Assembly has been redesigned to focus on assemble specific sets and slots.
Assembly Level: The higher your Touring Match's highest level, the higher the assembly level of your Cyberware.
Assembly Quality: You can spend additional materials to increase the drop rate of rare Cyberwares. The more materials consumed, the higher the chance you obtain Legendary Cyberwares.
2.4 Cyberware Sets
Universal Sets
Effect distribution and value of all universal sets have been adjusted.
**Note this: This adjustment is mandatory and may cause effect changes to some Cyberwares in your EA save files. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Character-Exclusive Sets
3 new exclusive 6-piece sets have been added for each character.
Build Adjusted
3.1 Fusion Driver
Activation Mechanism
In the previous mechanism, you could freely combine among a large number of basic Drivers to obtain specific Fusion Drivers. While it made acquiring Fusion Drivers stable and controllable in-run, it reduced the unpredictability and randomness of combat.
For this reason, we’ve overhauled the Fusion Driver activation system:
First, you will get a random Fusion Driver in specific rooms, such as the starting room or a boss room.
The Fusion Driver will not take effect immediately—you need to register a specific number of basic Drivers to activate its effects.
Each basic Driver can be registered to only 1 Fusion Driver, and the effect of registered basic Driver remains active.
We hope this change will bring more roguelike build possibilities to matches.
The Fusion Driver Store has also been adjusted as shown in the image below:
Fusion Selection
You can spend Likes in the lounge to activate desired Drivers, provided they meet the required number of basic Drivers. There is a limit to the number of activations.
Fusion Replacement
You can spend a small amount of Likes in the lounge to replace Fusion Drivers obtained with other options.
Replacing a Fusion Driver already activated will return all basic Drivers used for registration.
3.2 Armament Drivers
A new build type, Armament Drivers, has been added to Breaking Show and Team Match. Similar to Weapon Modification, this game-changing mechanic drastically transforms the way character skills work.
3.3 Balance Adjustments
The difficulty scaling systems for Breaking Show, Team Match, and Touring Match have been fully reworked.
The values of numerous Drivers and Relics have been adjusted. Details can be viewed in the in-game Database.
Drop rates of Likes, Drivers, and Relics in all features have been adjusted to provide a strategic resource management experience.
Melee characters' Defense stats have been buffed, allowing them to withstand more damage compared to ranged characters.
CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG mechanisms in Tech DMG have been adjusted and integrated into the [Electric Shocked] effect. Check detailed description below: When dealing Tech DMG to Electric Shocked enemies, obtains [Tech Overload]: Tech CRIT Rate and Tech CRIT DMG gain a bonus equal to 2% of self CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, respectively, lasting 2s (max 50 layers).
The cooldown of a Digiclone's Normal Attack is adjusted to double of its creator's, reducing the Digiclone's Normal Attack frequency.
Ⅳ Gameplay Adjustments
4.1 Story: Final Chapter [Transcend]
The new mainline chapter [Transcend] has been online as the game's finale, uncovering the truth behind the "Breaking Show".
Final Boss: Leo Sundman (CEO of Awaken Energies)
As the face of the affluents and CEO of Awaken Energies, he comes across as composed and charismatic on the surface, but is ruthless and will stop at nothing to achieve his end.
He is the mastermind behind the Matrix Tower and is using the "Breaking Show" to secretly execute his sinister plan.
The boss fight against Leo Sundman features two phases:
Phase 1: Disguised as "The Pope", he wears a yellow and white mech robe and wields a staff.
Phase 2: He discards the disguise and unfurls three pairs of mech wings, unleashing overwhelming pressure.
4.2 Breaking Show Adjustments
New room types added: Timed Challenge arena and Double Drivers arena. The Relic Replacement arena has been removed.

**Note this: The final difficulty of Team Match serves as the starting point for Touring Match.
4.4 Touring Match Adjustments
Major Gameplay Overhaul
Touring Match has been repositioned as a late-game looting mode, with greater focus on out-of-run Cyberware progression and reduced roguelike elements.
Loots such as Cyberwares and Computing Power have been significantly increased to reduce grinding.
Extreme Level Rules Adjustments: Extreme Level is capped at Lv.500. Losing a combat will no longer reduce your starting Extreme Level. Clearing Extreme Level 500 marks the completion of the whole Meta Ghost: Breaking Show!
Store item drop rules have been redesigned: Material items will not be sold before Round 15, but an unlimited number of material items will be available for purchase from Round 16 onwards.
The Driver quantity cap in Touring Match has been removed, setting no restrictions on ultimate build crafting.
[Touring Preparation]
A limit has been added to the number of basic Drivers that can be banned. This fixes the issue where a certain ban scheme could completely remove the entire Driver type from the random pool.
[Touring Challenge]—New Feature
You can choose initial Arena Debuffs before Touring Match to customize the difficulty level. Completing challenges will earn you lucrative rewards, including massive amounts of Computing Power and Modification Chips to help you craft the perfect Cyberware loadout!
The number of Arena Debuffs selected will also increase the time limit for the Boss Rush round 16. The higher the difficulty, the ampler time to challenge.

Level progress is now displayed during Touring Match gameplay.
Arena Debuff icons no longer block the central HUD.

Fixed an issue where Roulette Keys obtained in Touring Match could not be used.
Fixed issues with countdown timers, boss respawns, and enemy respawns.
Fixed an issue where barrel roll levels would end prematurely and enemies would join the fight early.
Fixes an issue where team members’ Extreme Levels were not displayed during co-op.

Collision volumes for Match Assistants and Digiclones have been removed for smoother character movement.
The visual intensity of Digiclones and attack effects has been reduced to avoid screen clutter when multiple Digiclones are active.

5.3 Revive Invincibility
A 2-second invincibility period has been added after resurrection.

6.3 Database
The Database has been updated to support the new Fusion Driver activation, with a redesigned Fusion Driver display interface.
Enemy (android) information has been fully added to the Database.
Ⅶ Character Skill Adjustments
7.1 Taisuke
Outfit: Alienwalker
Taisuke’s Alienwalker crossover outfit can now be obtained offline. A redemption code is no longer required.
New Combat Visuals
Taisuke's exclusive weapon Katana has undergone full cyber augmentation. Blade strikes are now as fast as lightning!
"This distance... it ends in an instant."
Skill Adjustments: New Special Normal Attack "Iaigiri"
After releasing Ultimate, Taisuke can obtain 3 layers of "Iaigiri" status (max at 3 layers). When casting enhanced Normal Attack Iaigiri, 1 layer of “Iaigiri” is consumed, dealing damage to a large area of enemies. This Iaigiri also grants , which counts as [Last Hit] and provides a brief Invincible window.
In addition, a new build centered around the Iaigiri has been added. Casting Iaigiri has a chance to unleash massive combo slashes without consuming layers. Cyberware set effects can grant additional "Iaigiri" layers via [Last Hit], further enhancing the combo sustainability. Heavy Attacks can also be modified to grant "Iaigiri" layers.
7.2 Jean
New Combat Visuals
Jean's weapon has grown to a massive size after cyber augmentation to deliver devastating strikes to enemies. Her mobility has also been enhanced, tuning her into a true rampaging battle tank.
“Smash!!"
Skill Adjustments: Added Mobility Mechanics and Revised Ultimate Effect
Jean's Ultimate skill is no longer leaping to deal damage. Instead, she raises her weapon high and charges, then smashes it down to attack a large area of enemies in front.
Her [Buffer Protection], instead of being obtained by unleashing Defense skill, is now obtained by hitting enemies with Ultimate. Stacks are gained based on the number of enemies hit, up to 5 stacks. Taking damage consumes 1 stack of [Buffer Protection] and gains 10 Excitement.
Mobility effect has been added to the Defense skill. When Perfect Dodge is triggered by Defense skill, it will not cause damage or grant Buffer Protection anymore. Instead, it will release a [Counter Helix] to the designated direction, dealing Heavy ATK DMG and providing a short-distance dash. In the meantime, performing a Normal Attack shortly after using the Defense skill will cause Jean to leap toward nearby enemies and deliver a wide-area Normal Attack!
Furthermore, performing Heavy Attack grants Jean a new "Assault" status (max 20 stacks).
Consuming 6 stacks of Assault enhances her next Normal Attack to deal wide-area damage and provide a medium-distance dash.
