After carefully reviewing player feedback on launch, we have identified key pain points from players which we have now addressed in our following quality-of-life improvements to make the overall gameplay experience much more smooth and enjoyable.
Major Quality of Life Improvements in Patch v1.10:
1) Added a Brand New Hint System!
As most players were unable to solve the mystery of saving Harry's family on their own, we have decided to add in a full hint system to enable players to seek a nudge in the right direction when things get tricky. Every clue (memory) that the player obtains in the game now come with an optional "Hint" button, which when pressed, reveals a valuable insight about the clue. Please see the hint system in the below screenshot:
2) Added an option to re-load only the final "IAB Device" segment of the final chapter!
For players who have reached the end of the game but wanted to obtain the alternate ending without going through the hassle of playing the entire last chapter? We got you covered. With this option, you can now load straight into the most crucial final segment of the final chapter, where you can change your "answers" to the mystery straight away in order to get the alternate ending! For new players, don't worry about this - you will understand what this means when you reach your first ending of the game. Please see this new option found in the "LOAD CHAPTER" menu in the below screenshot:
3) Increased the normal player walking speed and sneaking speed!
Many players have complained that the story is great and immersive, but the stealth segments are too difficult and they die too many times, Well, we have now made the sneaking and walking speeds faster so that stealth will be significantly easier to manage!
Other minor changes:
- Decreased the battery life penalty for spamming Thermal Vision on/off constantly in Chapter 4.
- Fixed a bug which caused the game to soft-lock in the final chapter.
Please enjoy these changes for both new players and old players wanting to try again for the alternate ending. We hope that these adjustments based on your feedback are well received. Please let us know if you have any further feedback :)
Sincerely,
Chu & Ali
