Summer is upon us!
We’re about to take a two-week break for the summer, and we want to bring you some more exciting information about Fruitbus and its upcoming release. In case you missed it -
Fruitbus is coming out in October 2024!!!
We are incredibly excited to show you all the things we’ve been working on and even more excited for you to get your hands on the game.
Before we get into it, we’d like to extend a huge thank you to all of you for the recent response to Fruitbus! Seeing all of you engage with the game, hearing your feedback, and talking to you on our socials is incredibly motivating! We would, of course, also like to extend a huge thank you to Wholesome Direct, IGN Live, and IndiE3 for having us!
Because of this response, we’ve decided that the demo will remain available for the foreseeable future. However, keep in mind, our main priority and focus is working towards the full game. Don't expect demo tweaks too frequently, although we'll try our best! We still love to see your feedback, so keep it coming :)
Now, on to development updates!!
New Cooking Method - Bread
As we’re sure most of you keen eyed viewers spotted, the baking of bread is another way to cook in Fruitbus!
You’ll need the oven for this one, and a few other things as well. We don’t want to reveal the whole process here ;), figuring out the specifics of how to bake bread will be in your capable hands.
Once you have a bread fully baked you can pop it out of its tin, and smack together some sandwiches with it. It takes a bit of effort to get through the whole process from flour to sandwich, but trust us it’s worth it. Your results are some very happy customers and a just as nice payday.
Glenn and the Shop
If you’ve seen anything Fruitbus, you’ve probably spotted this handsome devil.
Well it’s time to be formally introduced! This is Glenn, the resident shopkeeper of the Gustum Archipelago. Need a tool? He’s got you covered. Stack ‘o cups? Yep, he’s got plenty. Knife? Oh you bet!
But you already knew that, this is standard shopkeep stuff. What we want to talk about is the updates coming to Glenn’s shop
Glenn has re-organized! We wanted the shop to be easier to navigate, the possibility to preview items, and for you to have easy access to all your tool needs. We’re still working on our preferred setup, but take a look at this.
We much prefer this setup to the old one, but we would love to hear your thoughts either here or on our Discord!
The Indie Cup!
Fruitbus has gotten TWO nominations for this year's Indie Cup,a digital festival of independent games!
We are nominated for The Gameplay Excellence Award and The Creators’ Choice Award. The winners will be announced at the start of August, and we’re incredibly excited!
We’d like to thank the judges, and of course everyone who’s checked out our submission page.
