Howdy pardners! We've got some fun stuff for ya this month.
Free Story Update
Today we're releasing the last free story update exploring the history of Andromachos, our mentor and hot vampire stereotype.
What makes a vampire put meaningless murder behind them? What dark secrets can they learn when they don't need to breathe? And what was the deal with Sigmund Freud and his mother? Find out in this story update, and give an elder vampire an emotional release!
I also fixed a bug where resolutions wouldn't save. I listen!!
Awards 'n' Honors
Little Bat Games is a hyper-tiny studio, with one solo dev and a team of contract artists, editors, and support programmers. But we've been making waves here at the end of the year!
We've picked up an Indie X Award for Best Game for a Better World and were in their top 5 games among all more than 600 submitted games.
We picked up a German Developer Prize for Best Game Beyond Entertainment where we got to get all dressed up and do a speech.
And last week, we were added to the BAFTA Game Awards longlist in the Best Game Beyond Entertainment category.
We're honored to be contending with big studios when it took us three tries to make curtains work properly!
Your support is hugely helpful right now to give us visibility, so if Vampire Therapist affected you in some way, please share and help us build a groundswell... we still hope to make Vampire Therapist 2 if we can make our money back!
DLC coming soon
Don't forget to wishlist Vampire Therapist: Couples Therapy! Ring in 2025 by sorting out our collective resentment over wealth inequality and finding some peace in our relationships.
When the nights are long, this is the time for vampires to seek love. Maybe even cowboy vampires.
Yeah, but what else though?
What else?! Well, if you want, you could go play Hades 2 (I'm back as Dionysus), and we've been consulting with Com8Com1 on Bloodshed for both writing and voiceover. One of the playable characters sounds like Sam might before he found his peace. It's a first person Vampire Survivors boomer shooter with snarky hero quips, just like the 90s used to make, out now in Early Access!
Thank you for coming on this ride with us, and we'll see you cowpokes in 2025!
Love,
Cyrus and the Little Bat Games team
