Hey everyone,
We’re just two weeks away from the full release of The Night Shift!
Since launching in Early Access nearly two years ago, the game has grown far beyond its original scope. Thanks to your feedback, suggestions, bug reports and support, 1.0 is shaping up to be the biggest and most complete version of the game yet.
Here’s a quick look at what’s been added since day one:
10 unique shifts
6 seasonal themes
Valentine’s Day, Anniversary, April Fools, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas
A larger, more detailed store layout
A proper tutorial and multiple accessibility options
Full item randomization
35 Steam achievements
Localization in 11 languages
A fully voiced narrative and story progression
Initial support for controllers and Steam Deck
And yes... children mannequins
And now, with the 1.0 release on the horizon, here’s what’s coming next:
The final 4 shifts, with new tasks and narrative events
The last of the story, with 7 unique endings to discover
9 new achievements
Improved pacing and polish across the entire game
UI and accessibility updates
More scares, secrets and small touches
Final tweaks based directly on community feedback
Major performance and optimization improvements.
And for those who purchase the The Night Shift whilst in Early Access you’ll get access to the Supporter Pack content:
A brand-new level with 1 new achievement tied to it.
Exclusive mannequin apparel
Access to an exclusive locker on your shifts.
This release means a lot to me. The Night Shift has been solo dev project for just under two years now, and it’s only grown because of the support from all of you who played, shared, streamed or left a review. I really can’t thank you enough.
The full version launches on August 7th!
(If you’ve seen August 8th mentioned elsewhere, that’s my time zone here in Australia.)
If you haven’t already, this is a great time to wishlist, join the community, or grab the game in early access to get the bonus supporter pack for free.
More updates and the full launch trailer are coming very soon.
Thanks again for everything,
Marty
