Fellow Dwarves! Orebound has launched! Thank you so much for all your support so far! We can't wait to continue working on the game, adding more features and polishing the game!
Please consider leaving us a steam review, we are a small team and reviews really help us out!
We have added some last minute chenges for lower end PC users and also for some performance gains!
1) Sparse map
- We've made a spread out, sparse map that tones down the random generation by a good factor. This is to allow players with lower end machines to still enjoy the game. We will of course be making more improvements over time!
2) Lighting method
- We have added the option to turn off lumen in the video settings of the options menu. This will use a different system unreal engine has that will hopefully be less resource intensive at the cost of pretty lighting.
3) VSync
- Turning this on will cap your FPS to 60, and will help your GPU to not be over worked.
4) Resolution -
Lower your resolution settings. This will help your graphics card render less pixels and improve
performance.
5) Motion blur -
Turn this down or off for a slight bump in performance, though this will be very negliable.
6) Autosave changes -
You can set the game to autosave, or change the interval if you find autosave is causing you too many problems.
We will be doing a localisation update very soon likely in the next few days with all the extra text we've added in all languages!
