February 2026: Beta Phase! Upcoming Demo and more!

Over the last development stretch, Realms & Ruins crossed a major milestone. WE ARE OFFICIALLY IN BETA! All core content is in and R&R is feature complete. From here on it’s heavy playtesting, balancing, polish passes (enemies, items, skills, quests, animations), bug fixing, new demo prep and some release/marketing prep.

So when will Realms & Ruins: Abencor release?

While I think I could release in a fairly short timeframe, I want to get a really solid public demo out, get plenty of time to make the above polish/bugfix/balancing passes and participate in June Next fest (and maybe some others), then release shortly after that after some feedback. June 2026 will be the 3 year anniversary of starting development on this game and with a nice demo and some feedback from next fest, it feels like around that time should be a good time for releasing. I'll have a more info on the demo and release as we get closer.
