Hello everyone,
This is the development team of The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily.
The Great Prologue is a series that introduces the enemy commanders that stand in the way of Scarlet and her allies.
Today, we’re taking a closer look at characters who also appeared in the previous demo.
(We're currently working on a new updated demo and we appreciate your patience.)
The people introduced here are among the first characters Scarlet will encounter.
Just who are they?
Now then, Lady Scarlet, Lily-chan, take it away!
▼ The Ambitious Baroness
Baron's are little too common to meet.
Ugh, upper nobility.
Well... That’s just how an aristocratic society works.
Guess we’ll be relying on the cue cards from here on.
Not my preference, but fine. Still... that outfit is a fashion crime.
Apparently she fancies herself a fashion leader.
... This?
Well… she definitely has a unique sense of style.
And, being a baron, her title isn’t exactly at the top.
Which means, if she’s been appointed Governor-general with that rank,
she must be highly competent.
Yeah, it implies as much.
Though it doesn’t look like she’s happy with that status.
...A true ambitious type.
Would we want her on our side?
Wow, she’s impressive.
Spreading debuffs with smoke while unleashing artillery on everyone?
That’s power befitting the Governor of Elysia.
And that defense!
Just... ignore the fashion.
Fashion doesn’t affect combat capability.
She apparently graduated top of her artillery class at the military academy.
Can’t judge a book by its cover.
Especially in the male-dominated Empire,
where being a female baron is pretty rare.
▼ The Professional Soldier Supporting the Baroness
Well, well...
Now that’s a straight-laced officer.
He seems... painfully boring.
That's incredibly rude.
Let’s see… childhood friend of the baroness?
And also a baron?
Now Lady Scarlet is reading the cue cards, eh!
Hey, I don’t know this guy.
Is it strange to have the same title as her?
It’s rare.
Noble society has strict hierarchies.
So serving as her adjutant is his personal choice?
...That’s what it sounds like.
That Empire vibe is showing for sure.
So... maybe he’s her favorite?
Likely.
...You realize, Lady Scarlet, if we try to tear apart a duo this tightly bonded...
They would go ballistic.
What’s this? A crossbow bolt?
Close, it’s a flechette.
Developed for use in firearms and artillery.
...Are these even accurate?
Not particularly.
They lack rifling stability.
Ah, so they’re meant to scatter.
But he’s on foot?
They’re used in rifles and shotguns.
High anti-personnel lethality.
They stay in the body; more hits, more damage.
He’s shouting “Don't die!” while literally shooting people...
It’s possible to be dutiful and kind at the same time.
Working is hard…
▼ The Anti-Empire Boy Sniper
His file’s pretty thin...
He’s apparently the leader of a resistance in Elysia,
one of the Empire’s colonies.
The only Elysian we’ve seen so far.
I’m from the Republic too, you know.
Technically different from the Empire as a whole, sure.
But this isn’t a competition.
Apparently, he’s also a master whisky blender with an excellent nose.
Wait, could he have blended the Elysian whisky I drank?
Only one way to find out.
...Now I really want him on our side.
Don’t choose people just for their booze!
Ow!!!!!
Calm down.
You weren’t actually hit, Lady Scarlet.
Oh, right.
I’m the commander.
Sniper’s got a huge single-target burst damage.
He’s the kind you keep on reserve until the perfect moment.
Very dangerous as an enemy.
You’re cavalry, Lady Scarlet…
Worst possible matchup.
Though your unit's not faring much better…
...Sorry for being squishy.
Thank you, both of you!
Up to now, we’ve introduced a wide array of enemy commanders and characters.
Whether you recruit them or ignore the suspicion from the world and rebel with just Scarlet and Lily.
We hope you’ll enjoy discovering what fate awaits them.
(If recruited, Gina can disrupt enemy forces via broadcast!)
From the next episode, we want to summarize key changes made for the full release,
and highlight how to enjoy the game more smoothly.
Answering questions like:
- So, what kind of game is this anyway?
- Any tips on gameplay?
We hope to convey the uniqueness of this strategy simulation game more clearly.
We will have to make you wait a little more, but we hope you look forward to the game!
Thank you again for you support for The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily.
