Gotchaball Returns — Dive Into Atlantas, Our Biggest Update Yet!
Hey Gotchaballers — long time no see. 💛 It’s been a minute, but the arena never stopped evolving. We’ve been cooking quietly, and today we’re finally ready to open the gates to ATLANTAS, a brand-new water-world level arriving just in time for Steam Sports Fest!
This update is PACKED. Here’s what’s splashing in:
New Character: Bari — The Funky Delinquent
Meet Bari, a wannabe G-funk pirate and street delinquent who stumbled onto an old Runner Suit and decided to crash the world of Gotchaball. He’s loud, reckless, stylish, and ready to prove he belongs in the arena just as much as any pro. Bari plays with swagger, fights with instinct, and turns every match into his own mixtape of chaos.
NEW LEVEL: ATLANTAS — The Water World
A fast, chaotic, sun-soaked arena designed for high-speed movement, slippery reads, and wild comebacks.
New Hazards & Mechanics
Falling Platforms — Step on them and they drop. Get caught underneath… and you’re done.
Water Slides — Shoot across the map at breakneck speed. Perfect for big plays (or big mistakes).
Swimmable Water Zones — Movement changes entirely when you dive in. Outsmart, outswim, outplay.
Water Hazards — Some pools you do not want to touch.
Moving Totems — Totem control just got way more dynamic. Time your captures, chase them down, or cut opponents off.
New Item: The Bat (“WOP WOP WOP”)
Charge up a melee attack, dash forward, and smack anyone in your way.
Perfect for breaking defenses, interrupting captures, and shouting “hit ’m up!” while you send someone flying.
Quality of Life, Polish, and Fixes
We’ve improved movement, controls, UI clarity, responsiveness, visuals, and tons of under-the-hood details to make Gotchaball smoother, quicker, and more hype than ever.
