Greetings fellow Guardian Spirits,
We have fixed the bug that was causing some people to be unceremoniously catapulted forward into a new chapter, alone, afraid, and without hope. Confused as to what had happened. You now will be given the choice when (or even if) you advance to the next chapter and begin raising a new Yolk.
I understand the tragedy that many of you have lost a precious child and loved one. However, know, that even if it seems that way, they were victorious in their quest. They only retired because there was no more evil to fight and thanks to their efforts, the area they now live in knows peace and justice.
Some have wondered why they must give up their current Elf and raise a new one to experience the next chapters. Wishing they could keep the same heroic Egg Born the whole time. While I understand the desire for that, the truth is that Yolk Heroes is meant to be in many ways about what it means to be a parent. The joys and tribulations that comes with the raising of someone... and the pain of eventually having to let go like all good parents must.
That said, feel free to just play forever in whatever chapter you want now and never face the harsh reality of the future. The choice is yours! Yolk Heroes is at the end of the day meant to be a toy for you to enjoy in the way you find most fun. I don't judge Elf Parents or how they choose to raise their Yolk in the privacy of their own game.
Thank you all so much for the support you've given this silly little game over the last week.
