Hi Everyone!
When we started this journey, we were just a small team with big dreams about making an island adventure crafted with love for both experienced gamers and first-time explorers. And now? Luma Island has just crossed 300,000 wishlists! We're absolutely blown away and incredibly grateful for each and every one of you who's joined us on this adventure! 🙏
As a special thank you, we're giving away free game keys on Discord everyday, so join us now and don't miss out on your daily chance to win! 🎮
The demo has received a wave of overwhelmingly positive feedback and your insightful suggestions have truly inspired us! After countless cups of coffee ☕ and passionate team discussions about your feedback, we're thrilled to announce the exciting changes you'll see in the game:
🎮 Gameplay Improvements
- Arachnophobia Button: Hate the spiders in the caves? Toggle this accessibility option in the settings menu to replace all spiders with ghosts.
- Unified Gameplay Mode: Hero and Cozy Modes have been combined into a single, balanced experience: Spiders & ghosts in the caves can now be killed with the whip. You’ll still get kicked out of caves if they kill you but the ‘Lost on death’ mechanic has been removed so you won’t lose anything (apart from time).
- Enhanced Fishing: Clearer visual cues make fishing easier and more intuitive.
- Farm Store: Tired of waiting for more crop seeds to arrive every morning? The Farm Store can now stock more seeds for some crop types.
🗺️ Easier Navigation & New Maps
- New Maps: All main areas in the game now feature new maps in the quest menu.
- Stay Oriented: Never get lost with the new player direction indicator on maps.
- Multiplayer Visibility: Playing with friends? See their locations on the map!
- New Sleep Indicators: Having trouble finding townsfolk at night? Come back in the morning if you spot a ‘Zzz’ marker above their icon.
🎥 More Control Over The Camera
- Camera Zoom: This new slider in the settings menu now lets you adjust the camera zoom—perfect for devices with small screens like the Steam Deck.
- Customizable Sensitivity: Adjust horizontal and vertical camera movement sensitivity independently with separate sliders in the settings menu.
🎨 Personalize Your Character with new customization options
- More face options
- New hairstyles
- A wider range of skin tones
🏘️ A Livelier Town
- More Daily Activities For Townsfolk: Townsfolk now have a wider range of activities (and animations) and sometimes meet up with each other at parties and social events.
🐈 More Cat & Dog Breeds
- Expanded Pet Choices: Choose from more cat and dog breeds in the pet shop!
🛠️ Behind-the-Scenes Improvements
