Hi,
Laoai from the dev team again,
This is the last sneak peek before the big update! We’re officially rolling out the new patch next Friday!
Let’s talk about what’s coming in this final August update: Mounted Combat!
Watch out for my Parthian shot! 🐎
We’ve shown you a sneak peek of mounted archery before, but we’ve actually gone way beyond that. We’ve overhauled the animations for a ton of weapons in mounted combat. Not only do they feel way more dynamic and fluid now, but each weapon also has its own unique tactical role when you're on horseback.
Pair that with our new Philosophy Teaching feature, and you can build your very own elite cavalry squad using your retainers!
New Interaction Panel: Teach Philosophy & Teach Skills
With the Collection feature added, debating with various eccentric masters and gathering Philosophies has become the ultimate goal of wandering the Warring States period. You can now pass these collected Philosophies down to your retainers and clansmen. By mixing and matching Philosophy + Ambition + Talent + Gear, you can cook up some seriously diverse and creative builds.
Plus, in the upcoming Nine Provinces update, national armies will have much more distinct unit compositions. You’ll need to constantly tweak your builds to gain the upper hand on the battlefield.
Speaking of the Nine Provinces update, here’s a quick look at a new unit we’re currently cooking up:
Work-in-progress equipment
Combined with our brand-new Face Customization system, every character in the Nine Provinces will have way more personality and visual identity.
Characters created with the new face customizer
That wraps up this preview! The update drops next week, and we’re currently running our final tests. Thanks so much for your patience!
