With our springboard Indie Game "Contagion" a Co-op/Multiplayer Zombie Survival Horror FPS/First Person Shooter releasing shortly, we're excited to announce our largest Official Contagion related Competition to date. The Official Contagion - Let's Play Competition! The competition will coincide with the Full Release of Contagion this Friday, April 11th at 12PM Noon PST (GMT - 7:00) and end at the same time a month later on Friday, May 9th!
This is a unique competition where almost anyone can participate for major prizes exceeding $12,500 USD by just playing Contagion and sharing it with the rest of the world. We claim this to be a unique competition because unlike the usual game competitions you do not need to be an artist, developer, level designer, musician, programmer, or an expert in any specific field. You just need to have access to the Game, something to record with (Fraps for example), in some cases a video editor (Windows Movie Maker for example), a pre-existing or newly created YouTube account, must be a member of our Official Steam Group to post your entries (no more than 3 per user), and your imagination. The example applications are free and there are many others available that you may prefer.
In the end what matters is that we will be judging each video whether it be friends just playing through the game, goofing about, immersing themselves and playing tactically, a players guide to a specific map or the game as a whole, a well-executed review of the game, or let your imagination run loose. We will disregard trolling, racism, and other obvious rule breaking videos. We won't be judging a video on is how much was spent on software, number of subscribers, views, or the user's general popularity. This gives everyone a chance at making it into the Top 10!
With less than a week left till the 11th take a look at the videos and reviews and see if Contagion is right for you as the 25% discount will no longer apply on Full release so now is the best time to buy especially for the competition since it'll be over by Summer!
