As many of you know our new team member Pablo has been hard at work deep in the Contagion code. Well today I am pleased to announce that the first of many new update's for Contagion is now live.
This update includes several fixes on the Workshop side of things:
- The 100 MB cap for mods has been removed. Mods are now only limited in size to what storage space the creator has avalible on their Steam cloud.
- Tags have been fixed to allow proper filtering in Steam.
As I said there are more updates in the works and will be happy to announce those when they are ready. Pablo wanted to share with all of you what updates will be coming in the future.
- Purpose: Giving the user the option of sending a file with the problem that they are having. This reduces time in investigating and fixing the bug.
Translation to different languages
- Purpose: Making the life easier to non-english players.
Fix mod modification
- Purpose: Sometimes, when attempting to modify an existing mod, the error "you have not selected a file" displays. This fix would resolve this issue.
Add functionality to inform the user of how much space he/she wil have remaining after the mod is uploaded
- Purpose: This allows the user to be better informed of cloud storage limitations.
Add additional tags
- Purpose: More tags.
Provide a default image in mod creation and provide a warning that "The upload will not stop due to lack of an image' if the use has not provided an image
- Purpose: Does not restrict mod upload due to lack of an image.
Provide an percentage status of the upload
- Purpose: This allows the user to be aware of the upload progress.
Log files
This is only some of of the updates in the works. Many more updates are on their way and I will share what information I can when it is provided to me.
