Can you believe it's now been one month since Rocket launched on Steam? I've been very happy with the results so far and wanted to help highlight all the recent additions to the game. Since Rocket launched on February 19th, the game has gotten the following new features and updates:

- Controller Setup - Which to change which button does what? Now you can!
- 3 New Steam Achievements. 15 in Total Now!
- New Mouse Option for Mouse & Keyboard Users that let you auto-fire your weapon by just holding down the Click Button on your Mouse.
- Game now fully supports up to 5 Local Players (Keyboard Player + 4 Controllers) with Drop In/Out Multiplayer anywhere in the game by default.
- Menus have been reorganized to be better adjusted
- Steam Deck Docked option/mode added to help support when Steam Deck is docked
- Various graphical & gameplay changes and improvements
What's Next?
This is just 1 of many new updates you can expect for the next few months. You will be able to find new game modes, enemies, achievements, ship upgrades and overall features added. But here is what is in the cards right now:
Survive Mode - This will be similar to Arcade Mode, you start with nothing. Here you are given limited resources & no rocket regen. You will need to survive X amount of time in each level to advance to the next level. Every time you survive a level, you will be given a popup allowing you to choose 1 of 3 Ship Upgrade options. Each new Level takes a little more time and your rockets will be refilled. Don't have to defeat all the enemies or asteroids here, just need to survive and get out of harms way long enough to advance to the next level. This should make for some fun challenging gameplay. Expect to be able to play this new game mode sometime by May or June.
New Ship Upgrades - You can expect several new fun Ship Upgrades to come to the game in the next few months. These will be sprinkled throughout the various weekly updates to the game. Here are some of the various new upgrades in the works:
- Shield - A protective upgrade that temporarily prevents you from taking damage
- Score Multiplier - An upgrade that will increase the Score you get in the game at the cost of having the game be harder.
- New Weapon Options - Need I say more?
Fun Visual Mode Unlock - A fun new retro visual look is in the works for the game that can be unlocked. This will make the game look and feel like a classic game from the 70s & 80s.
