Hey folks,
It's been a while, but I've been kind of busy with this release.
Uh... I've... totally removed all the old dungeons. Bye!
Wait, you want more information than that? Oh boy. Okay...
All of the old Relic Dungeons have now been replaced with the new dungeon code based on 'Herringbone Wang Tiles'. It's a super-fast technique that allows me to generate dungeons super quickly.
So. You're going to find the startup is now close to instant. All 'building world' messages are gone.
If you're curious, or are one of those folks who likes to talk about 'Lazy devs' (a breed I've never met, and I put in the same bucket as 'unicorns', 'bigfoot' and 'a valid use of NFTs') I've also done these other things:
[DONE] Fixed: Sea travel produces graphical glitches (HOORAY!)
[DONE] Fixed: 'no edge icons' option doesn't save
[DONE] Fixed: the key-remapping so doesn't copy to the player's save directory.
[DONE] Fixed: Map button does not update the map before opening it
[DONE] Fixed: Weapon guardians unlock chests which then re-lock if you exit and re-enter the level
[DONE] Fixed: Dropped items end up in illegal places (algorithm now changed)
[DONE] Fixed: new dungeon creator produces some illegal variants (11000 tests later... phew)
[DONE] Fixed: Rising messages persist between zoom levels
[DONE] Fixed: Tether dungeon breaks when FateStones are used
[DONE] Fixed: Missing sign text in Archon's area added
