Good Evening, Community!
The Calling Home Spring Update is here and we're proud to announce a lot of new features & visual updates. In addition to completely new features, we have improved existing performance and look.
Have a look at the Patch Notes:
What's new?
Added new Biomes - some new environments for you to explore!
Added new Points of Interest - Discover mysterious constructions and solve their puzzles!
New & improved UI - E.g. the Compass now displays the distance for all scanned objects
New Upgrade & Equipment System - Add different buffs to your character!
New Ingame Wiki - Forgetting crafting receipts won't be a problem for you anymore!
Respawn System - Dying isn't problematic, as you're spawing back in your base!
Hazards (Radiation, Temperature) - Watch out for dangerous environments, manage your oxygen and prepare yourself with newly added equipment!
New flora graphics - You can't hug any trees yet, but at least they're prettier now!
Improved facility models- Inserter, Smelter, Drone Hubs and other objetcs got new models and textures
General
Performance improvements - several improvements so you won't feel dizzy while playing!
New Versioning System - Old save states can still be used via Steam if game updates require you to start a new game
Language
French and Russian Localization partially implemented - Quests might have some issues with displaying correctly
Known issues
Some points of Interests are a little floaty - Who needs gravity anyway?
Task text is sometimes misplaced
Resources spawn scarcely in the swamp biome
Some icons might not show in the new POI's
As already announced you will have to make a new game in order to fully experience the new update. You can still access your old save states via Steam.
We hope you have fun trying it out for yourself! Please don't hesitate to contact us if you encounter any problems or bugs.
