I had a great test run recently with my son, who is incisive and honest (and a bit brutal but that's ok). I'm pleased to say that most of the game held together well.
Fun Bugs
To give you a flavour of the bugs (now fixed), one was that the player's name (which should have been "Bean", not "dddddddwds sw ssssssssss") kept editing even though they had closed the options.

Another was that if you piled lots of items into the Grinder, then they would stretch weirdly through the floor.

Reworked Steam Algorithm
The steam algorithm is the bit of code that decides how much power each machine gets once you have linked them up to a boiler. The old algorithm had some weird problems, which I discovered while streaming some game development.
The new algorithm is much more predictable - and simpler to boot! A bit of behind-the-scenes for you - I tend to do a lot of the algorithm thinking on paper before I move to code.

Animations for Drinking Tea

Making a nice cup of tea has struck a chord with many, however there aren't any animations or visual effects for it just yet. I'm working on those now! Here's a peek at the up-and-coming models.
Catch me on Twitch!
Now that my life is in more of a regular rhythm, I am able to stream development of Clomper on Twitch. You're welcome to come and ask questions, give feedback or lurk and watch a man's sanity slowly unravel.
See Clomper developed on Twitch!
Take care out there,
Rob
