Hello and welcome!
I’ve made some fun additions to the game. You can now unlock a combat drone from your main menu and then in game you can buy the drone from the usual Upgrade menu where you upgrade your weapons. The drone does plenty of damage and unlocking Damage upgrades in the main menu also increases the damage the drone does!
I’ve added three boss types to the first level and when you defeat them you can pull in a special pallet that will give you a random number of upgrade points and gold. You can leave the boss type zombies behind, though they will follow you forever.
I’ve changed the colours of the game to just eight colours. I think the game is looking more uniform and actually I enjoyed redoing every texture to the new colour scheme because I think it looks so much better. Perhaps fewer colours works better with pixel art.
I didn’t like the idea that you could lose the game by running out of fuel so you can now use upgrade points (expensive) to buy fuel from the usual upgrade menu. It’s of course better to collect fuel along your journey but in the worst case, if you get stuck you now have an option to emergency refuel.
I also added the option to buy health from the upgrade menu using your upgrade points, so now in the late game you can use your excess upgrade points to repair your train if you need to. Just a bit more advantage to you the player.
