[Developer Q&A Session#2]
Q1:Why are various issues taking so long to be resolved ?
A:Due to limitations in our working processes, game issue resolutions have to be prioritized. This results in lower-priority issues being addressed slowly.
Conversely, for some high-priority issues, the development team may not pinpoint a clear cause. For example, some players are unable to play the Mewmew character. Addressing problems without a known cause contributes to delays in the resolution process.
Q2:Principles for considering character balance adjustments
A:The current character balance adjustments are based on usage statistics, win-loss ratios, as well as the utilization of Perk, Curse and Relic in ranked mode. Characters or skills with excessively high or low win rates or selection rates are considered for balance in that particular season.
Q3:In the future, will the Ranked Mode add a Pick/Ban system or any additional features?
A:The development team will reconsider the mentioned system in the future. If there are clear conclusions or development directions for the system, it will be announced it in the future.
Q4:Is there a plan to adjust Devil's Intervention, Perk of Warden?
A:The development team currently has no plans to update the existing Perk.
Q5:Is it possible to bring back the flash effect / add more gameplay and uniqueness to the levels?
A:The flashing light is considered one of the Visual Cues for the Spector Mode skill in the game Home Sweet Home: Survive (OBT1). Currently, this skill has been incorporated into the Corpse's Hair, (Curse of Kamiko) leading to the removal of the flashing light Visual Cue. This adjustment is made to align the capabilities of the skill with the current style of gameplay.
Q6:Is there a chance to add more executions for Warden who currently only have one ?
A:At the moment, there are no plans to add executions for Warden due to certain limitations. The development team needs to focus on addressing game-related issues first.
Q7:How does the team handle players who use cheat programs?
A:Dealing with cheat programs is like dealing with diseases. Even though they may be treated and cured, the development team still has to constantly combat the mutations of these 'diseases.' The team has to evolve the game to handle cheat programs that consistently update themselves, and this approach will continue until no developments in cheat programs are detected and support for such programs ceases. If you encounter or witness the use or promotion of cheat programs, you can directly report it to [email protected].
Q8:What is the cause of the Shift Now?
A:The game restarting itself issue occurs when the game cannot handle the resources of the computer it is running on at that particular moment, or there may be some issues leading to the game restarting on its own. Preliminary problem-solving can be done by adjusting the game settings to be compatible with the computer in use, checking for a stable internet connection, and closing unused programs while playing the game, as they can affect the overall resource management of the computer.
Q9:In the future, will Jane be able to choose her own statue for self-ressurect?
A:The development team has plans to make such skills an inherent ability of Jane, but currently, it is not the appropriate time for the enhancement of those abilities.
Q10:Matchmaking system operation
A:In the general mode, matchmaking is calculated based on the scores of the last 5 matches. If a match cannot be found within the specified time, the system calculates the increasing score difference, increasing the chances of encountering opponents from different servers.
In the ranked mode, matchmaking is calculated based on the players' ranks. If a match cannot be found within the specified time, the system calculates the rank difference, increasing the chances for lower-ranked or higher-ranked players to encounter each other if there is an extended matchmaking duration.
Q11:Is it possible to conduct a test server, select a certain number of players to try out characters that have been buffed and nerfed before adjusting them for actual gameplay?
A:The development team already has plans in that regard. Stay tuned for updates.
Q12:Is it possible or not that there will be tournaments on the NA/EU servers in the future?
A:The development team has surveyed the feedback from players on that server and found that there are still limitations in terms of the player count for organizing competitions. If, in the future, there is a sufficient number of players on that server to facilitate competitions, we will notify you again.
Q13:Why does the team keep selling skins or accessories continuously instead of taking the time to improve or develop the game first?
A:The roles of the sales team and the development team are distinct, each with different responsibilities. The sales team and the development team have different responsibilities, depending on the operational plans of each department.
