[Developer Q&A Session#1]
Q1: Why did you choose to make Verona unable to flick the mouse instead of changing it to correspond to the effect of Blade Wave?
A: Enabling Verona to flick her mouse, combined with the assistance of Ghost Coin (Chan's Curse), results in her Blade Wave having an excessively high success rate.
Q2: Why do you allow the player to walk through the mannequin of Ratri, which contradicts the laws of physics?
A: The use of Ratri's mannequin as an obstacle provides an excessive advantage compared to other Wardens, especially when compared to the traps of Kamiko. Therefore, adjustments have been made in this area.
Q3: Why you choose to nerf Ratri instead of buffing other Warden such as Heartrocker for example?
A: Currently, we are still in the process of testing buffs for several Warden, such as Heartrocker, as well as adjusting the fundamentals of Wardens overall. This includes making reasonable adjustments to blood seek for a more balanced pursuit ability.
Q4: Could you buff Yuri to enable her to blind and silence the Warden for 5 seconds as she did before?
A: The team plans to buff the Yuri very soon, but it might not revert to its previous version due to different patches in each version of the game, thus requiring adjustments to suit accordingly.
Q5: Why there no new Skin of Aisha?
A: The production of skins for collaborative characters requires consultations with multiple teams. Therefore, the team is currently focused on designing skins for the original characters, especially for those that have few skins. If there are future updates for additional collaboration character skins, we will provide further updates.
Q6: Why isn't the new map available in the Survive Mode (4v1) at the same time as the Battle Mode (4v4)?
A: As a nature of the Battle mode (4v4) is easier to balance, so it is opened for play first to gather essential gameplay data for the Survive mode (4v1). Once sufficient data is collected, the map will be released to Survive mode.
Q7: Why do the servers experience constant lag and remain unresolved?
A: Initially, it's been found that the issue arises from an excessive amount of data transmission, necessitating optimization. This process will require time to gradually inspect the causes and rectify them.
Q8: Why haven't various issues, such as the malfunctioning sticker wheel, been resolved yet?
A: The team hasn't disregarded these issues by any means. However, some problems have yet to uncover their root cause. Some have been addressed but not entirely resolved, or their solutions might have inadvertently affected other system functionalities. This is why random fixes or updates haven't been rolled out to the main system. If we receive valuable information or the actual causes from player reports and our testing, it will facilitate faster progress in addressing these issues.
Q9: Why doesn't the team listen to players' feedback?
A: "The team consistently gathers and considers feedback from players through every available channel. However, some issues may have varied and divergent opinions among players. Considering each adjustment necessitates thorough and comprehensive evaluation, which takes time.
Some player suggestions have been tested by the team and found not to align with the game's direction. Therefore, these suggestions have not been implemented in the live servers."
Q10: How long does the team take to review and fix each bug?
A: Many factors come into play. If players provide comprehensive information, such as images, video clips, or specific details, to the team, certain issues they encounter might be fixable in the next patch. However, if the problem persists and the cause remains elusive, resolving it might necessitate a prolonged investigation period.
Q11: Will there be a system in the future to assist new players and reduce the learning curve issue?
A: At present, the game features new player missions and is undergoing the development of additional systems to assist new players. For instance, there are plans to implement a loading screen tips system and an in-game information button.
Q12: Does the team have any plans to sell characters as Bullet Coins in the future?
A: The original characters, which can be purchased by Amethyst, will gradually become available for purchase using Bullet Coin. Stay tuned for announcements on the official page!
Q13: Can you cosplay a character from a game for a competition?
A: You can cosplay as the characters in the game and use them for competitions. It's necessary to use the names of the characters as they appear in the game. If you have pictures or videos of your cosplay, don't forget to upload them to the community for others to appreciate your work!
Q14: If I want to organize my own tournament, can I request support from officials?
A: That's sound great! You can submit a proposal for in-game tournament support directly to [email protected]. The tournament organizer should provide comprehensive details of the competition, including the event date and complete information about the live streaming channels, for the team's consideration.
